Ta Dah! So, here’s our lovable, floppy-eared cowboy wannabe, Prairie Pete. The perfect choice if you’re looking for a lovable puppy who is on the more mellow side of all things puppy, but still knows how to kick up his heels when your little hombres need to ride the range! And he's the color of a golden Palomino like Trigger, but immensely more manageable!

I know whereof I speak when it comes to canine companions, by the way; my faithful sidekick Hastings, AKA the best puppy babysitter in the world, is curled up on his favorite fuzzy blankie while Mom rhapsodizes about the puppy kids. There is something immeasurably sweet and companionable about a furry small creature who is always nearby, keeping an eye on his people and waiting for any potential snack events.

Pete, or Petey as he’s known here at home, is a sensible, smart, eager-to-please Cavachon with floppy ears and oversized paws. My size estimate should be spot-on, but he hasn’t read it, so we’ll see lol. Perhaps a pound or so larger, Cavachons grow quickly, and by the time they’re 6 to 8 months old, they are pretty much their adult size. He’s a nice family-friendly size, small enough to travel but big enough to hike the trails or swim in the lake if you’ve got a lakehouse just waiting for a handsome goldeny puppy to show off to the neighbors!

Don’t miss him; his sister left yesterday for OKC, and now that I’ve posted little guy, he’ll fly off the page as well, I’m sure!
