Well Puppy People, where his brother Fletcher Hayes arrived in the world making a statement with those gloriously oversized feet, Finnegan took a more modest approach — same luscious caramel and cream coat, (don’t they look like puppy bookends?)), but in a slightly smaller, not so economy sized option 😊 These boys not only look alike, their personalities are super close as well. Not actually twins, but almost!

Finnegan will combine backyard explorations (making sure there are no squirrel encroachments pending) with indoor searches for the nearest soft surface, where he happily turns into a complete and utter couch potato. (Of course, he’ll politely wait for permission to get on the aforementioned couch). 🛋️ A lovely, flexible little guy, with a biddable, trainable personality, he’ll fit seamlessly into your life and make you wonder how you ever survived without him.

For those of you tottering on the fence about adding a dog to your life, don’t wait too long, or some other savvy Puppy Seeker will nab this exceedingly adorable, fluffy boy, and you’ll be fussing at yourself for allowing him to get away. Talk about posing. While her blue sisters were busy being effortlessly, accidentally gorgeous, Magnolia Grace was working. Chin up, eyes forward, flashy black and tan furnishings impeccably arranged — that most earnest little expression — equal parts dignity and devotion — suggests she has every intention of being absolutely, perfectly wonderful, and would very much like you to notice.

She really is a dear little thing, with her flashy furnishings (yes, another RARE color, don’t miss the closeup of her precious snowy toes and those ADORABLE stovepipe legs!) and most earnest expression. I see a compliant puppy in the making, her winning ways will melt your heart, and she’ll toddle through puppyhood briskly, I’m sure!

She has a lovely willingness, a gentleness, a quiet eagerness to get things right — that experienced dog lovers recognize immediately and treasure deeply. This pretty girl has it in abundance. She will trot briskly and cheerfully at your heels while you get your steps in, a sporty little shadow in black and tan, and then plop herself into the recliner beside you afterward with the satisfied sigh of someone who has genuinely earned her rest. Cavachon Puppy Tricolor Boy | Mini Size - 16 or so Pounds Grown

So this Tricolor bundle wanted me to get busy and give his puppy bio the love it deserves! I’ve been slightly distracted; our power has been out for going on 4 days with the recent crazy Ohio weather. Saturday had gusts of 60 & 70 MPH winds, and it has been a bit on the wild side. I shouldn’t complain because we have a whole-house generator (thank You, Lord!), and haven’t been terribly inconvenienced; in fact, the puppies think it’s fun to race up and down the teeter totter with ears flying in the wind, like all children, they enjoy a bit of weather-induced excitement lol.

SO, all that to say that Hooper D., as he’s known here at home, is happily oblivious to weather drama; he’s a cheerful-natured, easy-going kind of puppy who will wake up each morning with a happy wagging tail and the Cavachon’s hallmark optimism, which makes having one in your life such a joy. He’ll be the best of friends to your kids, the cozy lap dog to your mom when she visits, and the reason why your resident kitty starts packing her bags the moment he arrives at your door lol. Poor guy, he loves all creatures, but if you have a cat in the house, it may take a bit of convincing before she’s willing to have anything to do with the new addition. (Thanks, Dana D. for reminding me. She says her poor Cavachon Louie tries to play with her two cats but they are having no part of him! She’s bringing Lulu Petals home, happy Louie, happy cat friends!).

Wonderful silky textured coat that promises to be nicely non-shed and hypoallergenic, a slightly larger size for those in the family lobbying for a Great Dane, he’s plenty big enough to keep up with any activities your family can dream up but still small enough for that aforementioned sitting on laps, definitely a win-win situation, my friends!

"How come the girls all got to go first? Us boys is tired of waiting!" — and honestly, fair point, Charlie. I hear you. I’m trying to work on the whole ladies-first concept with him, bless his heart, and he is — as previously mentioned — a work in progress. But what he lacks in patience, he makes up for in absolutely everything else, because Charlie Boone is, without question, the whole package in mahogany sable and white. That coat — rich, warm, burnished like autumn sunlight through copper leaves — is another genuinely rare color, and he wears it with the completely unconscious confidence of a boy who has no idea how handsome he is. Which, frankly, makes him even more handsome.

And then there is the matter of his mind. Charlie Boone is smart — not just puppy-smart, not just learns-his-name-quickly smart, but the kind of bright that makes you stop mid-training-session and look at him sideways and think, "Wait a minute." The kind of smart that figures things out before you've finished explaining them. The kind that, combined with his astonishing sweetness and willing nature, means he will be an absolute joy to train — the puppy who genuinely wants to get it right and has every mental tool to do so. We joke that he'll learn to drive before it's all said and done, but honestly? Don't leave your keys unattended.

Charlie Boone is going to make some extraordinarily lucky family an all-around extraordinary dog. Handsome, brilliant, sweet-natured to his core, and just gentlemanly enough — with some continued coaching — to eventually, graciously, let the girls go first. We're getting there. I know, I’ve used my allowance up on “RARE” for these puppies. I simply cannot help it. Here is another rather astonishing color in the world of Cavapoos. Our darling Georgie Pearl, with her Tricolor coat, gleams with an unusual depth of rich color and pigment. Her red points are blazing ruby, her black furnishings glisten and shine, and the white parts are a silvery white that none of the other puppies come close to, and that’s saying something with these exceptional puppies, each more amazing than the last. (More tomorrow!)

Oh, I keep going back and forth for a favorite with these beauteous blue babies,,, Diamond Lil is exceedingly hard to resist, Blue Belle with her stunning turquoise and chocolate eyes, and then there is this little morsel — with just a flash of the purest sapphire glimmer and softest shades of frosted silver and caramel, she is perfection as well!

Somehow I can't stop looking at her winsome small face, that sapphire gleam, the smallest of our blue babies, and she is the perfect littlest sister to the blue girls. There’s always something about the littlest one in a litter, of course we puppy lovers know that the littlest girl often turns out to be the one who runs the whole show. Misty Blue says to tell everyone she may be small but she certainly is mighty!

She’s also sweet as she possibly could be, a cuddly companion who will make your life more beautiful just by being at your side. Look into that sweet face and see if you don’t agree 💙

Cavapoo Puppy RARE Blue Mere Girl | Mini Size - 15 - 16 Pounds Grown

Well, I should be running out of adjectives, but how is it possible not to wax eloquent and just over the top about puppies like these? I know they’re mine, at least for now, and one would think I’d get used to seeing little faces like these, but I never lose my delight and passion for sharing beautiful puppies with the world. Sharing beautiful puppies who will go to their homes, bringing more joy than any creature this small should be able to deliver.

The fourth bluest of the blue merles in this stunning litter, Blue Belle, with one eye the color of a tropical sea at noon, turquoise and luminous and almost impossibly vivid, and the other a deep, warm chocolate brown so rich it could have been borrowed from a melting truffle. Together they shouldn't work. Together they are magnificent. Nature, it seems, was feeling particularly creative the morning Blue Belle arrived. I find myself gazing besottedly at her, marveling that each puppy could be so unique, that each has her own abundant measure of beauty and charm.

She wears the rest of her extraordinary self with equal flair — brilliant snow-white markings as crisp and clean as a snow drift, swirled and accented with slate-blue that drifts across her coat like a silver rain. Wonderfully non-shed and hypoallergenic by the way, how could she not be, with one of the plushest coats you’ll ever see.

She is delicious in the most literal sense of the word: the kind of puppy you want to scoop up and never put down, the kind whose photos make strangers in comment sections temporarily lose their composure, Instagram, here we come! But, not to worry, Blue Belle herself is entirely unbothered by all the fuss. She has places to be, people to meet, tails to wag. She arrived in this world cheerful and has apparently decided to simply stay that way.

Best of all, inside all that external beauty lives the sunniest of souls. Blue Belle is a social butterfly in the most genuine, joyful sense — not performing for attention, but simply lit from within by the presence of people. She will be the dog your guests ask about first, the one who makes your shy friend feel immediately at ease, the one who somehow always ends up in the center of every photograph without ever trying, did I mention, the camera absolutely adores her???. Cavapoo Puppy Black & White Parti-Color Girl | 10 - 12 Pounds Grown

In my never-ending battle with Google over how many pictures I can actually put with each puppy, I have raised the white flag of surrender on this little morsel! Granted, I take way too many pictures, but in my determination to capture the essence and personality of each of my puppies, it sometimes requires more photos than our friend Google permits. I just counted and literally had 42 pics I wanted to use with Lovie Dovie… Sigh…

For example, going through this little girl’s portfolio, how in the world could I not include all the angles of her whimsical expression, how she uses her eyes and cuts them back and forth,,, blink, blink, blink, blink,,, (trying to show me how happy she was to snuggle up with her new sloth friend)? Before I rescued the funny grey creature, she had turned him into a mini-couch and was blissfully settling in for a nice, long nap. 

Speaking of pictures, my camera was determined to focus on Mr. Sloth's beady plastic eyes, instead of Lovie’s. Back and forth we went, with me insisting that the focus point should be on the PUPPY’s bright button eyes, only to review the picture that was actually taken, and see the sloth's glaring eyeballs staring back at me. 👀

Sigh. No wonder I have to take about a hundred pictures of each puppy so that I can reluctantly narrow it down to 10 of the very, very, very best of each delightful puppy.

Technical difficulties aside, this Cavapoo miss is even more charming in person. She’s affectionate and loves to snuggle, welcoming all visitors with her happy wagging tail and offers to let you meet her favorite new toy (watch out for them beady eyes!) I’m in love with her gleaming black-and-white parti coat, a rich, non-fading color that will just get better with time. Which rather sums up little Lovie Dovie, she’ll bring more layers of love to your life than you dream possible, who knows, perhaps you’ll circle back around in a few years for another little one to add to your collection? They are rather addicting (I get letters!)

Sometimes sassy, sometimes bashful, like most little girl puppies, Winnie is a delightful blend of personalities. Full of sweetness (just look at her earnest gaze as I took her pictures, trying with all her might to pose perfectly for Mama Terry, at times holding absolutely still, she was so precious!

Not to worry, she isn't prim and proper all the time; she has just enough bounce to the ounce to keep everyone enthralled and the kids arguing over whose turn it is to hold her! I get letters! She’ll adore all the attention and happily snuggle with all humans, big and small. I don’t think she’d ever get tired of being held lol.

An unusual color in the Cavapoo, which is far more common in the Ruby version, this is a lovely alternative, and as she matures, that beautiful coat will retain all of its rich shades, including those tiny ruby points. She will be stunning and much admired by all your dog-loving friends.

Though a bit more petite, she’ll be completely sturdy and hardy and will surprise you at how sporty and athletic she is for her size. Ah, but oh bliss, that smallish size will make her very travel-worthy, and taking her south for the winter will be a breeze! (Wait till you navigate her through the airport, everyone will be agog over how adorable she is,,, prepare to answer a dozen questions,,,, including the infamous two-fold,,, “What kind of dog is that??? WHERE DID YOU FIND HER?!?”

I know! I know! I know! She’s EXPENSIVE! But she’s also about 20 years in the making for this dog breeder who loves the genetics of rare colors in the Cavalier hybrids. But talk about a Dream Puppy! This baby girl has it all, a silvery blue coat and china blue eyes so clear and luminous they look like tiny pieces of winter sky. She is extraordinarily beautiful! Perfect coat, lovely conformation, and a tail-waggingly sweet disposition that charms the socks off everyone she meets. (After they get over standing open-mouthed at their first glimpse of a BLUE CAVAPOO!

Ah, but she’s not all fluff & glitz! That sparkle behind those china blues suggests she has opinions, plans, and a very specific idea of where she'd like to sit (on you, obviously). She’s also got the Blue Merle’s extra appreciation and love for the comic, a cheerful outlook on life that will make every day you have her a joy! I’ve maintained for years that the colors in dog breeds often are tied to unique personality traits, and Blue Merles are the perfect example. Cavachon Puppy Mahogany Sable & White Girl | Mini Sized - 16 to 18 Pounds Grown

This scrumptious baby girl is the puppy equivalent of sweet tea on a wraparound porch: (this time of year, I’d love to be on one with her, preferably in Charleston if anyone is interested lol). The perfect addition to that porch setting, by the way. She will greet your guests like she's been expecting them, cuddle like it's her calling, and look up at you with those soft, melting eyes as if you personally hung the moon over the magnolias, and before you know it, have you firmly wrapped right round her little velveteen paw!

For those of you longing for a Sable puppy, this baby & her brother are my favorite shade of rich, deep Mahogany with icing-white accents. Sable and white in this depth of color is a rarity in the Cavachon world — I love all the colors, but my heart beats a little faster for these almost brindle coated pup pups.

The perfect choice for just about any setting, she’s easy-going, playful, and, when it’s time, the perfect couch potato. She’ll snuggle by the hour, then play tag with the kids until they’re begging for a nap (she’s helpful like that!). If the aforementioned kids have been pleading for a puppy, look hard at this small miss and her siblings. They are unmatched as family dogs. Literally almost 100% non-shed, and though small, perfectly big-hearted enough to join in with any family fun you can dream up.

Carolina Rose might just be the missing piece of the puzzle you’ve been looking for in your puppy search. Cavachon or Cavapoo, I always say you could shut your eyes and pick one and get a fabulous puppy, they are equally amazing I promise! Cavachon Puppy Blenheim Girl | Toy Size - 12 Pounds all Grown Up!

Ah, this exceedingly lovely, Blenheim puppy girl, the color that is everyone’s darling, the classic, butterscotch and cream coat that made the Cavalier world fall in love with this color many moons ago. Happily, it’s repeated in the beautiful Cavachon, and one of the things I love the most about this breed. Such an amazing color palette and, more importantly, the laid-back, yet delightfully entertaining canine that is the Cavachon! (and of course the Cavapoo, they’re reading over my shoulder and insisting I include them in my rhapsodizing!).

Phoebe Dean is named after one of my favorite characters in a book of that title, written back in the early part of this century. And like that beloved heroine, our Phoebe Dean is so pretty she takes your breath away, loveable and kind-natured with just a pinch of spice to keep things interesting!

She’s hoping that someone falls in love with her after one glimpse of her sweet face; she’s utterly irresistible, and not to worry, she’s even more so in person. Yesterday, I was bathing her for her puppy glamour shots, and she was the perfect angel, holding her paws up one by one for a lather, then again, paw after paw, for a nice warm rinse. (My puppies LOVE bathtime!).

She’s a real puppy, though, and just when you think you have her all figured out, the zoomies strike, which send her down the hall, into the kitchen, and back for a circuit or two of pure puppy joy… Then she’s suddenly snuggled next to you on the couch, wondering what all the fuss is about lol.

Her happy place will be with her people (if you want a bed buddy, she’ll be thrilled to oblige by the way!). She’s already planning which side of the bed will be hers! 🛏️

So, I know these puppies are posting like molasses, I’m blaming the infant at the Urgent Care clinic last week, who, when I insisted I had a sinus infection coming on, cheerfully patted me on the head and sent me on my way with instructions to call her if I wasn’t better in a week!!!! Over a VERY LONG weekend, I grew steadily worse and finally, on Monday, she agreed that antibiotics were probably a good idea. Grrr.

The puppies have been generous with sympathy at least, well, maybe not Lulu Petals, she’s quite indignant that she wasn’t posted front and center last week so all them Puppy Peoples could see for themselves how OVER THE MOON ADORABLE she is! (Now, maybe she’ll quit pestering me!)

She really is kind of irresistible, and that face, she’s sure she’s all that and a bag of chips, thank you kindly! Overflowing with personality and with more Cavachon cuteness than the law should allow. Just look at her peering at the camera, no wistful little morsel here, well, she’s pretty tiny but she sat there like a puppy celebrity, giving Mr. Sloth a good going over, not one bit intimidated by his slothy eyes!

Small, but mighty applies perfectly, she’ll keep the family in stitches with her antics, she loves being the center of attention and will happily dream up ways to train you to perform her favorite things which include picking her up for a snuggle and lots of treats.,,, AND maybe even SLEEPING IN BED WITH MOM & DAD!

So, I’m particularly happy to have discovered that I can highlight each of my puppies so everyone can see at a glance: Cavachon or Cavapoo? Color? Boy or Girl? And, yes, size, in the first line of each puppy's description. How fun is that? A little asset that I'm sure has been there all along, right under my nose, but in my never-ending quest to decorate not only the puppies but this website, and make it not only an educational, but a beautiful space, being able to add that big font in that pretty berry color is right up my alley!

And, yes, even Waldo Woof didn’t escape my decorating enthusiasm on puppy picture day. Don’t you love his slightly droll expression? “Really, Mama Terry, you couldn't find anything more manly than this pea green flowery thingie??? I'm sure I saw a nice navy blue bow tie you could have chosen, I am so embarrassed! I’m not a fancy guy (I totally agree, look how he’s lounged back on his round little bottom, Joe Cool for sure!).

Yes, this puppy guy has strong feelings about what proper puppy attire looks like. I’ll try to remember when I send him home that his collar and leash are on the more masculine side of things, in case there are any little boys at his new home, those boys need to stick together! 👔

He will come wearing an exceedingly handsome, allergy-friendly coat, the kind that won’t require lots of grooming by the way. Super silky texture will make him easy to brush, and a trip to the pooch parlor every couple of months will mean an almost wash-and-wear kind of dog in between trims.

Fletcher Hayes arrived in this world with two things in abundance: big feet and an old soul. The feet are immediately obvious — gloriously oversized, charmingly clumsy, the kind of paws that seem to show up long before he enters the room 😂

The old soul reveals itself more quietly, in the moments he’s not romping in normal puppy style, the way he gazes somberly at you with those chocolate brown eyes of his. Just being certain that you know he thinks you’re the center of his small universe, and in case you’d forgotten, he loves you more than even his most favorite stuffed crocodile.

For those of us gazing mournfully at the forecast, with, yes, more snow headed our way, just think a bit outside the box and remember, your puppy can make good use of a sizey kitchen floor for exercising when the weather won’t cooperate. There are so many fun ways to entertain our four-footed family, focus on easy-to-clean areas just in case, and you can give the new addition as much exercise and fun as his heart desires.

A champion performer on the indoor puppy obstacle course, Whiskers clamours and climbs his chubby little self up the two steps of the puppy slide and whisk! Down he slides zippity zip, and hurries back around to have another go! I’ve gotten quite creative this winter with indoor activities for the littles, and they have loved every minute of it!

Sadly, his fetching is still a work in progress, lol, he is thrilled to capture the raccoon as I toss it, but not especially good at bringing it back! He tries to convince me that it needs to be his very own special toy, and none of his siblings should be allowed to take it from him. Poor guy, his sisters have made a life’s work out of taking whatever toy he is currently playing with. (No, I don’t let him see me laughing at their antics lol! They are comic entertainment, I promise you.

A winsome and affectionate-natured puppy, a bit of an old soul, who still enjoys a good laugh. He’ll make a devoted canine companion, you’ll take him along on every trip to town, and trailing along at your heels will be his very most favorite occupation. What a lovely life, following the one you love through life, bringing them so much Puppy Joy that they bless the day they found you. Yes, indeed, my friends, I get letters 🩵

Oh, this is SUCH a beautiful puppy! Poor lass has waited patiently while my antibiotics kicked in and I finally felt human enough to get back to my computer (see the whole saga in Lula Petals’ bio below). I consoled myself with at least sharing her gorgeous photos so everyone could have a peek at her while I languished on the couch. (Yes, with good dog Hastings, sympathetically snuggled close to keep me warm, ah, what a wonderful consolation.)

Yes, a good dog will change your life in more ways than you imagine, and yes, almost allllll of those ways will be blessings, you silly worrywart you! Oh, what you dogless people are missing! Uhoh, I can feel a tangent coming on lol! But really, when are you going to quit dithering about and finally take the puppy plunge, dive in headfirst, and bring that puppy home, the one the kids have been begging for since they were able to say “dog!” Better look out, they’ll be off to college soon, don’t you dare get a puppy then,,,, I do get letters! They’ll never forgive you! Nuff said!

Ah, so you’ve been spying on our sweet girl, Eclair. You have my permission to choose her and never look back! Like another of our recent puppy kids, she’ll bring “more layers of love to our home than I dreamed possible!” (a recent quote from one of our Puppy People. I’m unabashedly enthusiastic about how amazing our puppies are. Over two decades raising them and watching their lives unfold in each new home has given me good reason to be so unapologetically pro-puppy, at least pro-Foxglove puppy. I know what a difference getting a great puppy makes.

I love this little guy’s thoughtful expression, the way he looks attentively at his small animal friends (as if they are real, I know he doesn’t really believe they are, but he has such a kind way about him, as if they might be). Of course, being all boy, the next step would be to taste each and every one of them just to be sure lol!. And as you can see from various photos of this litter, there was a lot of attempted tasting going on as well!

Captain Flouf is a lovey, cozy sort of puppy one minute, then he’s off at a canter, galoup, galoup, galouping (new words galore!) across the floor only to slide to a stop and gaze longingly out the door at the snow. Which reminds him that he loves the snow, and bouncing in and out of puppy-sized drifts with all his puppy might.

Sporty enough to keep up with the kids but cuddly enough to enjoy snuggling with them by the hour, the definition of the perfect family dog for sure 👍 He’s happy-tailed, sweet-natured, and playful by turns, always eager to please and already showing the temperament of a dog that the whole family will love.

People ask me all the time which is better, a boy or a girl puppy, and with some breeds, there is a marked difference. With the Cavachon, though, either makes a superb canine companion, equally loving and devoted, equally athletic and outdoorsy, and most importantly, equally thrilled to cuddle by the hour; they are true love sponges, loyal, faithful, old-fashioned canine companions.

Oh, this little smidge of Cavachon cuteness with her big, beautiful Cavalier eyes and the most precious personality you could hope for in a puppy. If you’ve been surfing the web for an embarrassing amount of time trying to find the right puppy, the search is over! Stop driving yourself bonkers, I implore you, and take my very good and knowledgeable advice, and add one of these delightful puppy kids to your cart, gather up your puppy supplies, and finally enjoy what life with the right dog can be like.

Puppy shopping is crazy making, no doubt, but there’s nothing like knowing the search is over, and you’ve found the puppy meant for your family, and all that angst is behind you.

The perfect example of a wonderful Cavachon? Our Maudie Mae. I had to name her Maudie Mae, she has this very Southern way about her, kind of like a little old lady trying to find where she mislayed her gloves, she gazes at me like, Mama, can’t you help me find them???).

Whimsical as she is, with those carefully placed paws and tiny head tilted when she’s sitting with all her might, she’s also loads of fun and perfectly able to keep up with the big dogs. Moments after these pictures were taken, she was on the sliding board with her sisters, trying to be the first to reach the top and gleefully zoom down the other side. Don’t worry, it’s only about 12” tall 😂

She’ll follow your lead in all things, whether they involve sliding boards or taking trips south for the winter (she’ll fit ever so nicely under the seat when you travel). A compliant small person, and did I mention, so pretty she should be on a puppy calendar? A darling in every way.

Of course, there's no way to absolutely guarantee the adult size on these little bundles, but I think I'm pretty close with 8 lb for Molly Bee, perhaps a pinch under! Don't tell her, though, she's convinced that Rin Tin Tin has nothing on her for potential superhero status! What a little minx she is. I was hard-pressed to get stationary pictures of her because she was convinced that each and every one of those toys was just waiting to be carried off so she could show her siblings her wonderful new treasure trove of toys, lol. 

She couldn't be any sweeter if she tried, as busy as she is one moment, pick her up and she's an absolute sock monkey, leaning into your shoulder with a little smile on her face because she knows she's Mama's favorite baby and surely someone is getting ready to take her to Starbucks for a puppuccino!? Be prepared for a crowd gathering wherever you take her, a social butterfly in the making, she's never met a stranger and is convinced that there's no cuter canine on four paws! Did I say she knows how adorable she is? Trust me, she was born knowing lol!

But lest you think she's a spoiled little princess, let me assure you, she has the most endearing way about her, though completely able to hop around like a little jumping bean, she's equal parts couch potato and after a bit of zooming around the house or in the yard, she'll plop down and ask you to wrap her up in a cozy blanket so she can get her beauty sleep. 

A precious, funny, ADORABLE little creature, and yes, Mama Terry is convinced that she is definitely the smallest in this litter of baby beauties! So if you've been waiting for a teeny tiny, don't miss her!

I’m besotted with this color, my newest favorite, of course! I’m amazed at the lovely shades of this wonderful BLUE that appear in each of my merle babies.
