While some puppies dream of seaside villas and magazine photoshoots, Seashell Sally is far more practical.

Someone has to keep an eye on things.

With her soft apricot curls, sturdy frame, and kind brown eyes, Sally approaches life with the confidence of a puppy who always knows where she left her keys. She’s a smidge bigger than her glamorous sister Taffy Tides (and perhaps not quite so focused on finding a beachfront property).

(Yes, I’m having way too much fun with this litter of seagoing puppykids, I admit it, but I can just see them trotting down the shore wearing doggie sunglasses and their own renting their own beach umbrellas!).

Back to sweet Sally. I love her expression, the way she gazes off into the distance like she’s trying to decide what her new family will be like. Will there be little kids to snuggle with? Or an extra nice lady who needs a furry companion to keep her company and ride along to Starbucks with?

There’s something of the mother hen about her, of course, she’s silly as can be by turns, full of bounce and play, but I can see her all grown up and making it her special job to ensure everyone gets safely home before supper.

She’ll sail through her puppyhood with grace and just a few giggles, lots of puppy kisses, and will try to learn her puppy lessons with all her might. No puppy is perfect, but she’ll try extra hard to hear that beloved phrase, “What a goood giiiiirl, Sally!”

Remember, Puppy People, loooong vowel sounds are music to your puppy’s ears, especially when praising that baby for a job well done 😘
