He’s a rather winsome puppy, though he does occasionally morph into a toy-thief when his sisters aren’t looking. They will innocently be playing tug-a-war with their beloved purple alligator (he’s long and slinky and has googly eyes that they are helpfully trying to remove 😂 ), and out of nowhere, leaping small teeter-totters in a single bound, here comes Toby Tugboat!

Pounce! Mr Alligator is gone in a flash, and Toby is doing a triumphant victory lap which lasts all of about 30 seconds before “the girls” shriek in alarm and race after the small pirate to rescue their darling.

This most entertaining little drama is repeated with various stuffed animals but with always the same outcome: the girls stomping off in puppy indignation and Toby in a mope because they won’t play with him and prefer alligators to perfectly good little brothers.

Yes, he would love some children of his very own to pal around with; he’d be happy to share his toys with those persnickety sisters out of the way! Of course, Mama Terry will send two very nice animals of the stuffed variety in his puppy kit to get everyone started off on the right paw.
