Someone we know with floppy little ears and shiny white booties was working on his crate training today and decided that it wasn’t quite so bad as long as he had lots of toys and a Kong stuffed with yummy snacks. He had a fun reward after all his hard work and spent the afternoon zooming back and forth after his littermates. I found the cutest colorful toss rings and gave half a dozen to them, and couldn’t believe the games that bright Cavapoo puppy minds can dream up with the simplest toys. Cider Boots managed to step inside one of the rings, and it made a most convenient handle for everyone to lead him around with. Things are never dull in Puppyville!

Otis Appleby is vying for the prize for the most easygoing of all the puppies, and today he gained a few points. At naptime, he came back inside and promptly snuggled up next to one of the favorites from his toy stash (Mr. Fox is EVERYONE’s new favorite!) and soon, he was snoring ever so slightly with paws twitching, dreaming I’m sure, that he was leading the pack triumphantly in a race around the backyard.

I haven’t decided 100% though, they go back and forth, Cider Boots is a close second, then they swap places and I’m convinced that Autumn Belle gets the blue ribbon (but wait, what about Applejack)? Such good little people, they all have their moments to shine in the best puppy spotlight, but I have to say they do have such lovely temperaments; they look right into your eyes with tails awag, and paws extended to shake hands, such sweet little munchkins, no wonder I love Cavapoos!
