Cavachon Puppy Tricolor Boy | LOVE THE TRIS! | Brilliant | Beautiful | Slightly Rotten! | 16 Pounds-ish

I am a raving fanatic about these dogs I can't help it. Oh my gosh, I was talking to a lady the other day, I hope she doesn't mind my repeating a little of her tale, but I hear it so often. Her son and his wife, who visit frequently, have a 75 lb doodle who is 2 years old and really good at it. He comes in the door like a tornado and literally almost knocks her over with his enthusiastic greeting. Not a mean bone in this goofball’s body, but also a most significant lack of common sense and trainability.

Oh my goodness, people, if you're going to get a dog, do yourself a great big favor, especially if you are a novice? Get a moderately sized dog or a small dog who thinks he's a big dog. A Cavachon or Cavapoo who, with the help of the eminently sweet, but sensible Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, tones down the enthusiasm of the Bichon, and the brilliantly intelligent poodle, and blends into what are literally the best dogs this dog professional has ever been involved with.

Maybe that's why I'm so passionate. I've seen the dog ownership train run off the rails with so many people over the years. People held hostage with the wrong dog. Dogs that they have to manage and deal with and, God bless their hearts, try to enjoy, when there were so many better choices out there.

Choices like this delightful little guy, Barney Bumble. From the top of his curly little head to the tip of his happily wagging tail, Barney is the real deal. He will be the best dog you'll ever own. You'll have to navigate him through puppyhoo,d and if he's anything like my Hastings, he will occasionally do ridiculous puppy things that will make you for 5 seconds want to send him back. But those will be brief moments and he’ll make you laugh so much and LOVE HIM SO MUCH in between having the sillies, that you’ll forgive him and go right on,

I look over on the couch this evening at my own tricolor boy who stays faithfully at my side these nights, I sit up late sharing the Puppy Post. He glances over once in a while as if to say it’s time for bed, Mom, but he’ll stay there no matter how late I stay up, and I cannot tell you the comfort that life with such a dog as this is like.

All I can do is insist with each new litter, that you too can have a great life with a fabulous dog. Just pick a Foxglove Farm puppy, that’ll make it easy, and you can thank me (over and over again) later!
