Oh, this is SUCH a beautiful puppy! Poor lass has waited patiently while my antibiotics kicked in and I finally felt human enough to get back to my computer (see the whole saga in Lula Petals’ bio below). I consoled myself with at least sharing her gorgeous photos so everyone could have a peek at her while I languished on the couch. (Yes, with good dog Hastings, sympathetically snuggled close to keep me warm, ah, what a wonderful consolation.)

Yes, a good dog will change your life in more ways than you imagine, and yes, almost allllll of those ways will be blessings, you silly worrywart you! Oh, what you dogless people are missing! Uhoh, I can feel a tangent coming on lol! But really, when are you going to quit dithering about and finally take the puppy plunge, dive in headfirst, and bring that puppy home, the one the kids have been begging for since they were able to say “dog!” Better look out, they’ll be off to college soon, don’t you dare get a puppy then,,,, I do get letters! They’ll never forgive you! Nuff said!

Ah, so you’ve been spying on our sweet girl, Eclair. You have my permission to choose her and never look back! Like another of our recent puppy kids, she’ll bring “more layers of love to our home than I dreamed possible!” (a recent quote from one of our Puppy People. I’m unabashedly enthusiastic about how amazing our puppies are. Over two decades raising them and watching their lives unfold in each new home has given me good reason to be so unapologetically pro-puppy, at least pro-Foxglove puppy. I know what a difference getting a great puppy makes.

So, I’m particularly happy to have discovered that I can highlight each of my puppies so everyone can see at a glance: Cavachon or Cavapoo? Color? Boy or Girl? And, yes, size, in the first line of each puppy's description. How fun is that? A little asset that I'm sure has been there all along, right under my nose, but in my never-ending quest to decorate not only the puppies but this website, and make it not only an educational, but a beautiful space, being able to add that big font in that pretty berry color is right up my alley!

And, yes, even Waldo Woof didn’t escape my decorating enthusiasm on puppy picture day. Don’t you love his slightly droll expression? “Really, Mama Terry, you couldn't find anything more manly than this pea green flowery thingie??? I'm sure I saw a nice navy blue bow tie you could have chosen, I am so embarrassed! I’m not a fancy guy (I totally agree, look how he’s lounged back on his round little bottom, Joe Cool for sure!).

Yes, this puppy guy has strong feelings about what proper puppy attire looks like. I’ll try to remember when I send him home that his collar and leash are on the more masculine side of things, in case there are any little boys at his new home, those boys need to stick together! 👔

He will come wearing an exceedingly handsome, allergy-friendly coat, the kind that won’t require lots of grooming by the way. Super silky texture will make him easy to brush, and a trip to the pooch parlor every couple of months will mean an almost wash-and-wear kind of dog in between trims.

He’ll be a joyous addition to the family, be there boys or girls in residence, or even just a dog-less gramps and granny who are much in need of a little canine inspiration to add some spice to the daily routine. Life without a dog is no life at all, says this slightly rabid dog lover 💜

Cavapoo Puppy Black & White Parti-Color Girl | 12 Pounds Grown

In my never-ending battle with Google over how many pictures I can actually put with each puppy, I have raised the white flag of surrender on this little morsel! Granted, I take way too many pictures, but in my determination to capture the essence and personality of each of my puppies, it sometimes requires more photos than our friend Google permits. I just counted and literally had 42 pics I wanted to use with Lovie Dovie… Sigh…

For example, going through this little girl’s portfolio, how in the world could I not include all the angles of her whimsical expression, how she uses her eyes and cuts them back and forth,,, blink, blink, blink, blink,,, (trying to show me how happy she was to snuggle up with her new sloth friend)? Before I rescued the funny grey creature, she had turned him into a mini-couch and was blissfully settling in for a nice, long nap. 

Speaking of pictures, my camera was determined to focus on Mr. Sloth's beady plastic eyes, instead of Lovie’s. Back and forth we went, with me insisting that the focus point should be on the PUPPY’s bright button eyes, only to review the picture that was actually taken, and see the sloth's glaring eyeballs staring back at me. 👀

Sigh. No wonder I have to take about a hundred pictures of each puppy so that I can reluctantly narrow it down to 10 of the very, very, very best of each delightful puppy.

Technical difficulties aside, this Cavapoo miss is even more charming in person. She’s affectionate and loves to snuggle, welcoming all visitors with her happy wagging tail and offers to let you meet her favorite new toy (watch out for them beady eyes!) I’m in love with her gleaming black-and-white parti coat, a rich, non-fading color that will just get better with time. Which rather sums up little Lovie Dovie, she’ll bring more layers of love to your life than you dream possible, who knows, perhaps you’ll circle back around in a few years for another little one to add to your collection? They are rather addicting (I get letters!)

Sometimes sassy, sometimes bashful, like most little girl puppies, Winnie is a delightful blend of personalities. Full of sweetness (just look at her earnest gaze as I took her pictures, trying with all her might to pose perfectly for Mama Terry, at times holding absolutely still, she was so precious!

Not to worry, she isn't prim and proper all the time; she has just enough bounce to the ounce to keep everyone enthralled and the kids arguing over whose turn it is to hold her! I get letters! She’ll adore all the attention and happily snuggle with all humans, big and small. I don’t think she’d ever get tired of being held lol.

An unusual color in the Cavapoo, which is far more common in the Ruby version, this is a lovely alternative, and as she matures, that beautiful coat will retain all of its rich shades, including those tiny ruby points. She will be stunning and much admired by all your dog-loving friends.

Though a bit more petite, she’ll be completely sturdy and hardy and will surprise you at how sporty and athletic she is for her size. Ah, but oh bliss, that smallish size will make her very travel-worthy, and taking her south for the winter will be a breeze! (Wait till you navigate her through the airport, everyone will be agog over how adorable she is,,, prepare to answer a dozen questions,,,, including the infamous two-fold,,, “What kind of dog is that??? WHERE DID YOU FIND HER?!?”

Speaking of galumping across the floor, is that even possible when you only weigh a little over five pounds? Yes, indeedy, I think the puppies delight in cantering thumpity thump round and round, especially when it’s too darned cold outside for more than a brief potty break every couple of hours

Jonesy says to tell everyone who’s even thinking about getting a puppy to order his favorite indoor playtime toy, a flirt pole, complete with three enticingly squeekable animal friends. I totally agree, it’s the best thing you can have in your puppy entertainment toolbox! (find it here on Amazon).

For those of us gazing mournfully at the forecast, with, yes, more snow headed our way, just think a bit outside the box and remember, your puppy can make good use of a sizey kitchen floor for exercising when the weather won’t cooperate. There are so many fun ways to entertain our four-footed family, focus on easy-to-clean areas just in case, and you can give the new addition as much exercise and fun as his heart desires.

The beauty of this breed is that they simply don’t need the hours of exercise that some of the doodles require. With the influence of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a dog bred to be a companion, you’ll avoid the insatiable exercise requirements of some of the doodles. These little characters are way too attached to the couch to want to spend all their time burning off the puppy heebie-jeebies. Good news indeed if you have other things to do on a daily basis!

Yes, Jonesy is all boy, he’ll romp and play with the best of them but then be content to lie at your feet in front of the fireplace of an evening,,, (make that, lie by your side ON THE COUCH), and with tools like his flirt toy, be an undemanding and still athletic small dog who will follow the energy of the family in a sensible way that will make you so happy you chose him in the first place. 🐶

A champion performer on the indoor puppy obstacle course, Whiskers clamours and climbs his chubby little self up the two steps of the puppy slide and whisk! Down he slides zippity zip, and hurries back around to have another go! I’ve gotten quite creative this winter with indoor activities for the littles, and they have loved every minute of it!

Sadly, his fetching is still a work in progress, lol, he is thrilled to capture the raccoon as I toss it, but not especially good at bringing it back! He tries to convince me that it needs to be his very own special toy, and none of his siblings should be allowed to take it from him. Poor guy, his sisters have made a life’s work out of taking whatever toy he is currently playing with. (No, I don’t let him see me laughing at their antics lol! They are comic entertainment, I promise you.

A winsome and affectionate-natured puppy, a bit of an old soul, who still enjoys a good laugh. He’ll make a devoted canine companion, you’ll take him along on every trip to town, and trailing along at your heels will be his very most favorite occupation. What a lovely life, following the one you love through life, bringing them so much Puppy Joy that they bless the day they found you. Yes, indeed, my friends, I get letters 🩵

Cavachon Puppy Sable & White Boy | 13 - 15 Pounds Grown

I love this little guy’s thoughtful expression, the way he looks attentively at his small animal friends (as if they are real, I know he doesn’t really believe they are, but he has such a kind way about him, as if they might be). Of course, being all boy, the next step would be to taste each and every one of them just to be sure lol!. And as you can see from various photos of this litter, there was a lot of attempted tasting going on as well!

Captain Flouf is a lovey, cozy sort of puppy one minute, then he’s off at a canter, galoup, galoup, galouping (new words galore!) across the floor only to slide to a stop and gaze longingly out the door at the snow. Which reminds him that he loves the snow, and bouncing in and out of puppy-sized drifts with all his puppy might.

Sporty enough to keep up with the kids but cuddly enough to enjoy snuggling with them by the hour, the definition of the perfect family dog for sure 👍 He’s happy-tailed, sweet-natured, and playful by turns, always eager to please and already showing the temperament of a dog that the whole family will love.

People ask me all the time which is better, a boy or a girl puppy, and with some breeds, there is a marked difference. With the Cavachon, though, either makes a superb canine companion, equally loving and devoted, equally athletic and outdoorsy, and most importantly, equally thrilled to cuddle by the hour; they are true love sponges, loyal, faithful, old-fashioned canine companions.

So, I know these puppies are posting like molasses, I’m blaming the infant at the Urgent Care clinic last week, who, when I insisted I had a sinus infection coming on, cheerfully patted me on the head and sent me on my way with instructions to call her if I wasn’t better in a week!!!! Over a VERY LONG weekend, I grew steadily worse and finally, on Monday, she agreed that antibiotics were probably a good idea. Grrr.

The puppies have been generous with sympathy at least, well, maybe not Lulu Petals, she’s quite indignant that she wasn’t posted front and center last week so all them Puppy Peoples could see for themselves how OVER THE MOON ADORABLE she is! (Now, maybe she’ll quit pestering me!)

She really is kind of irresistible, and that face, she’s sure she’s all that and a bag of chips, thank you kindly! Overflowing with personality and with more Cavachon cuteness than the law should allow. Just look at her peering at the camera, no wistful little morsel here, well, she’s pretty tiny but she sat there like a puppy celebrity, giving Mr. Sloth a good going over, not one bit intimidated by his slothy eyes!

Small, but mighty applies perfectly, she’ll keep the family in stitches with her antics, she loves being the center of attention and will happily dream up ways to train you to perform her favorite things which include picking her up for a snuggle and lots of treats.,,, AND maybe even SLEEPING IN BED WITH MOM & DAD!

Oh, this little smidge of Cavachon cuteness with her big, beautiful Cavalier eyes and the most precious personality you could hope for in a puppy. If you’ve been surfing the web for an embarrassing amount of time trying to find the right puppy, the search is over! Stop driving yourself bonkers, I implore you, and take my very good and knowledgeable advice, and add one of these delightful puppy kids to your cart, gather up your puppy supplies, and finally enjoy what life with the right dog can be like.

Puppy shopping is crazy making, no doubt, but there’s nothing like knowing the search is over, and you’ve found the puppy meant for your family, and all that angst is behind you.

The perfect example of a wonderful Cavachon? Our Maudie Mae. I had to name her Maudie Mae, she has this very Southern way about her, kind of like a little old lady trying to find where she mislayed her gloves, she gazes at me like, Mama, can’t you help me find them???).

Whimsical as she is, with those carefully placed paws and tiny head tilted when she’s sitting with all her might, she’s also loads of fun and perfectly able to keep up with the big dogs. Moments after these pictures were taken, she was on the sliding board with her sisters, trying to be the first to reach the top and gleefully zoom down the other side. Don’t worry, it’s only about 12” tall 😂

She’ll follow your lead in all things, whether they involve sliding boards or taking trips south for the winter (she’ll fit ever so nicely under the seat when you travel). A compliant small person, and did I mention, so pretty she should be on a puppy calendar? A darling in every way.

Cavachon Puppy Sable & White Girl | Ain’t She Sweet? | Petite Paws | 10 - 12 Pounds Grown

“I’m small but mighty!” Poppy Moon says to be sure and tell everyone! Yes, she’s tiny and completely adorable, but she’s also full of fun and a pinch of mischief too, no shrinking violet this little miss lol. Cuddly and happy to cozy up by the hour when it’s yucky outside, but she’s also the best walking partner you could hope for. Those little legs twinkle as she prances along the sidewalk, she LOVES the outdoors and will sashay down the street and around the block, delighted to show the neighborhood canines what a real dog looks like lol.

She was so proud of her big velvet bow, some puppies (especially the boys!) aren’t too thrilled with all the frilly girlie bits that I love to decorate them with, but not so with Poppy, who loves her bling and exceedingly smart small creature that she is, knew that she was simply scrumptious wearing it. Blessed with an extra measure of intuition and intelligence. You can almost read exactly what she’s thinking, looking into those soulful eyes. (I love how she makes such direct eye contact, yes, another sign of a very bright puppy!

Waggy-tailed and outgoing but a loyal soul too, she’ll make a devoted addition to the family, and everyone will be completely smitten, even hubby will be charmed by the puppy he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to buy for you (even if it was your birthday and he’d promised for ages you could get a puppy! 🎁 ) Happy wife, happy life I always say!

Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Boy | 15 - 16 Pounds Adult Size | Such a Waggy Tailed Guy!

So don't miss the last picture in the gallery for Mulligan, look at his goofy little face peering sideways. I think he was afraid his bow was going to slide off if he actually moved more than an inch or two. He looked like a little kid wearing a tie for the first time, all proud of himself and worried lest his fancy collar would fall off when he wasn't looking!

A pinch larger than the girls in this litter, he's definitely the big brother and keeps his little sisters organized. When he's not stealing their toys, that is. 😆 A total character, he loves to make us laugh and considers himself quite the wit. All those smarts point toward an easy-to-train puppy who will entertain the whole family into fits of giggles. He does love being the center of attention, which is hard when you have three little stair-step sisters vying for that place!

Another lovely coated puppy, very allergy-friendly and nearly 100% non-shed once he gets through the puppy stage and his even silkier adult coat comes in. I love his color, almost a mahogany red, with just enough white to give him a saucy little bib. He'll be sporty and fun, so be sure to include him in your plans for that summer road trip. Everyone knows I'm an avid gardener, and if you enjoy puttering around in the flower beds here's a sweet little girl who will help you plant your sweet peas and promise never to dig up any of your petunias! Well, maybe once in awhile if she forgets, though she is a compliant sort of puppy and I think she'll do her best to mind her puppy manners at least part of the time!

A faithful companion in the making, quiet-natured like her siblings, she almost never barks, though she can yodel a bit during crate training, just so we know she’s not a fan. This litter as a whole has been very quiet and though they’ll let you know when the mailman is at the door, I think they’ll be sensible with nary an outburst on the whole.

She’s pretty as a picture, see that perfectly round face and smidge of a tiny muzzle? Allergy-friendly coat with loads of curls, I say almost perfectly non-shed, though all puppies will transition from puppy to adult coat and you may see a bit then but once that stage is complete, she’ll pass the black sweater test with ease!

Speaking of sweaters, we’ve had a break in the frigid temps and this week should see 60 degrees, oh Puppy Bliss! The puppies love the snow but this will be their first spring and they are already hopping around like bunnies, it amazes me how they already know that winter is about to pass and sunny days are ahead. Yesterday there were three siblings on the tetter-totter, like little kids running around proclaiming that it’s not at all cold, they would have stayed outdoors for hours but I insisted that it was nap-time and they reluctantly complied (and within 5 minutes were all snuggled together sound asleep lol.

Of course, there's no way to absolutely guarantee the adult size on these little bundles, but I think I'm pretty close with 8 lb for Molly Bee, perhaps a pinch under! Don't tell her, though, she's convinced that Rin Tin Tin has nothing on her for potential superhero status! What a little minx she is. I was hard-pressed to get stationary pictures of her because she was convinced that each and every one of those toys was just waiting to be carried off so she could show her siblings her wonderful new treasure trove of toys, lol. 

She couldn't be any sweeter if she tried, as busy as she is one moment, pick her up and she's an absolute sock monkey, leaning into your shoulder with a little smile on her face because she knows she's Mama's favorite baby and surely someone is getting ready to take her to Starbucks for a puppuccino!? Be prepared for a crowd gathering wherever you take her, a social butterfly in the making, she's never met a stranger and is convinced that there's no cuter canine on four paws! Did I say she knows how adorable she is? Trust me, she was born knowing lol!

But lest you think she's a spoiled little princess, let me assure you, she has the most endearing way about her, though completely able to hop around like a little jumping bean, she's equal parts couch potato and after a bit of zooming around the house or in the yard, she'll plop down and ask you to wrap her up in a cozy blanket so she can get her beauty sleep. 

A precious, funny, ADORABLE little creature, and yes, Mama Terry is convinced that she is definitely the smallest in this litter of baby beauties! So if you've been waiting for a teeny tiny, don't miss her!

Isn’t she just the most beautiful creature you’ve ever seen on four paws??? I’m going to use up all my punctuation marks and lots of emojis on these deliriously delightful puppies, I can tell already!

The camera adores this baby; she bats those lovely LONG LASHES as if she knows how over the top pretty she is, inside and out, by the way. She’s super affectionate and will snuggle by the hour until you’ve a mind to get your steps in, and then you’ll find her at your heels, happily prancing down the boulevard, casting coy glances at all the passersby who nearly run off the road trying to get a better look at her.

“Ma! Do you see that GORGEOUS DOG??? What kind is it??? I told you we should have got us one of them there Designer Dogs,,, I bet that’s what it is!!!”

All excessive enthusiasm aside, this dog fancier does indeed adore her puppies, and a little one like this one fills my heart with so much joy and more than a small measure of pride if I’m being totally honest.

I’m still head over heels in love with the Cavachon and the Cavapoo, two decades plus after seeing my first litter. They stole my heart then, and they continue to do so all these years later. The very best dogs on the 🌍 is what I say, and it’s still the truth; they are without equal in the world of canine companions.

So I’m whirling around outdoors, filling bird feeders to overflowing for my beloved birds, poor things are looking all frosty and cold this morning, we were at sub-zero temps last night,,, brrr!

Ah, but the puppies are warm and cozy tucked inside, though they do amaze me, they LOVE the snow and hop around like tiny rabbits, chasing each other with gleeful abandon. I only allow short times for such fun, though they insist that they have perfectly good woolly little coats on and they are having FUN lol!

She’s a versatile small creature who will happily follow at your heels so you can show her off to the neighborhood and greet all her new friends with a wagging tail and puppy kisses, too, if they so desire!

Indigo Pearl is our seaside treasure, wrapped in soft sky-blue swirls and purest white accents. She’s soft, sparkly, and always ready for a nap on your lap after a morning of curiosity, playful and entertaining, but born with a snuggler’s soul 💙

I’m besotted with this color, my newest favorite, of course! I’m amazed at the lovely shades of this wonderful BLUE that appear in each of my merle babies.
