Yes, I've said it before, the little Tricolors, in my humble opinion, are blessed with an extra measure of trainability and dare I say it, a well-developed sense of the comic! They are such funny, entertaining little characters. Our Hastings, who reminds me a lot of the Tris in this litter, is such a clown. 

Even the UPS man is greeted with a high five, with alternating paws, rolling over and playing dead, and occasionally, Hastings even “fixing his monkey hat” on command. You would have to be here to understand all of the above, but trust me, it's hysterical. And oh my goodness, couldn't we all use something to cheer us up nowadays? Get yourself a good, good little Foxglove Farm puppy of any color and you'll be well on your way to Puppy Nirvana, I promise!

Our boy Rufus Ruff is just such a delightful canine companion in the making. Bright as a button, he looks right in your eyes with a quizzical expression, trying to figure out if he can communicate in doggy sign language that he needs an extra treat or perhaps that he really, really doesn't need a bath. 

He adores people of all ages and descriptions, especially those ones who want him to crawl up in their lap for a cuddle. After, of course, splashing around at the edge of the pool with his little doggy life jacket on. These guys should have webbed feet; 99% of them absolutely love the water!

You’ll love his silky, shiny coat, and be sure to have a good groomer in your back pocket who will be thrilled to keep him looking like a teddy bear; all that beautiful coat will make it easy! He won't take a lot of grooming, about every 8 weeks is more than sufficient, maybe a pinch longer if you want him extra fluffy. I sent home the perfect slipper brush with each puppy, and silky texture like his makes brushing a breeze.

In short, he's a super puppy in about a dozen different ways! Don't miss him, though Miss Terry was delayed getting his listing done with her back injury. I'm on the mend, and I've apologized to him for the delay! He said to let everyone know he was the bestest, even if he was the lastest getting posted! This was a big litter of eight, so it took me a few days!

Buckley Brown wants everyone to know that he's exceedingly fond of socializing, so if you're looking for a friendly pup who will happily play with the biggest house full of kids and handle all the birthday parties you can dream up, he's your boy! What I call a good, old-fashioned kind of family dog, smart and willing to please, cheerful and even tempered without an ounce of meanness in his whole body!

✅ Sporty and athletic but happy to chill on the porch too.

He does love to socialize, of course, and he also doesn't mind a bit if someone scoops him up for a snuggle session in the midst of all that activity. He's definitely a lover, and I'm willing to bet that even cranky Aunt Millie, who says she doesn't like dogs, will sooner or later be found sneaking him a bite of her chicken dinner when no one else is looking. He does that to people, turning them into avid dog lovers, despite themselves. He considers it his job to be the tail-wagging ambassador for all things canine and is convinced that if only Aunt Millie gets to know him, she’ll be a dog lover too!

Extra handsome, with perfect markings and silky hypoallergenic coat (I know, no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, but unless you’ve tested specifically highly allergic to dogs, he’ll be very allergy-friendly). A nice sturdy size, he’ll probably not fit under any airline seats, so look at one of his smaller siblings for that, but if you want an easy-going total mush of a puppy, don’t miss him!

I lived too long in the South and occasionally, it breaks out all over the place, especially at puppy naming time. Charleston forever changed my vocabulary, so I place and somehow flavor my puppy endeavors with those wonderful old-fashioned monikers that have long since disappeared from daily use. And some puppies, like Georgie Mae, just seem to have a rather vintage, little old lady way about them, even in the midst of their puppy sillies.

Ah, yes, Georgie Mae, with her shining black and tan coat, accented with loads of snowy white in all the right places, is indeed a winsome small creature. Those dark eyes gazing earnestly into yours, even from the screen of an oh-so-modern device, her charm shines through. She truly is a love, cozy and snuggly enough to satisfy your every longing for a puppy who wants to be by your side but playful enough to wear the grandkids out when they come to visit.

And, a tiny flaw keeps her price a pinch lower than it would be because of her rare color; she has a slight underbite, vet checked and totally not a health issue, but it’s there, and she’s not perfect as a result (but who of us is when you come right down to it?).

She, on the other hand, has no idea that she’s not the bee’s knees and all that and a bag of chips! Big-hearted as the whole outdoors, she’s a lovely fit for a dozen different settings. Empty nesters to first time puppy newbies, she’ll be an easygoing and easy to train small miss who will do her best to learn her puppy basics with the least amount of fuss possible.

I do love that about our puppies, they fit so seamlessly into their new homes and have their besotted owners returning year after year, just looking mind you, until they succumb all over again and take the Puppy Plunge and add another eminently lovable Foxglove puppy to their shopping cart and find themselves full circle, beginning the journey with a new puppy, because you can never have too much love in your life, even when it arrives in the form of a furry creature with a wagging tail.

I’m so in love with the Cavachon and their close cousins, the Cavapoos. I have a Puppy Person who mournfully told me that her current dog seems a bit indifferent to her a good portion of the time. When I described the extra affectionate nature of these little Cavalier hybrids in yes, I admit, exceedingly glowing terms, she sighed and said that’s precisely the kind of dog she’s always wanted….

✅ A dog who follows you through the house as you go about your day, you look down from the couch and he’s asleep close by, but get up and head outdoors, and he’ll be trotting at your heels to see if you need a hand weeding the garden.

✅ A dog who adoringly goes from child to child, blissfully happy to be in someone’s arms or lap as long as they want a snuggle buddy.

✅ A smallish dog on the outside, but inside is a sporty little number who can keep up with the busiest family with ease,,, and knows when to switch back to a more laid-back version of herself when everyone is ready to crash in the family room with popcorn and a movie. Small bites allowed!

Here’s a happy ending to the story I began above by the way,,, “Mabel’s” new puppy arrived a few days ago and my phone dings with delighted messages, all caps,,, He’s the SWEETEST, MOST LOVING, ADORABLE and HAPPY boy EVER!!!” (He’s already sleeping in bed with her lol!)

So, back full circle to our sweet Charlie Boy, he's all of the above and more, a fast learner, playful and fun, but not a bit Alpha. He'll be an easy fit in so many different homes, as long as there are loving hearts and open arms waiting for him, he will be the stuff puppy dreams are made of!

Just the sweetest funny little pumpkin ever, a little smidge of puppy goodness with such winning ways about her, she will steal your heart and you won't even mind! I don't know what it is about this puppy, of course, they all have their own personalities and characteristics, but this little morsel has a special kind of Innocence about her that tugs at my puppy-loving sensibilities in an unusual way.

She’s the best baby, hardly ever gets into the mischief of her siblings. And, always the one whose special toy gets taken away and looks to me for a replacement from Mama Terry's special toy box (when her brothers and sisters aren't watching, of course).

Maybe that's the quality that stands out about her; yes, she's full of bounce and play, but she feels small and like someone has to take extra good care of her. And keep her from losing her toys to the bigger kids on the playground. It must be my back injury, as I hobble around feeling a bit sorry for myself, this little munchkin brings out all of my mother hen instincts.

She would be great with kids, as long as they are gentle and loving, or perhaps an older couple who want a small dog to accompany them as they travel the country in their shiny, big RV. I always watch for someone to be smitten with a puppy, and I can see her jumping off the page and into someone's heart, and being the perfect fit for that particular home. (Be sure to have lots of toys waiting for her, she’ll be thrilled to finally have toys that nobody can take away lol!).

Oh those tidy white boots on this morsel of puppy sweetness! SHE IS SO CUTE IT’S RIDICULOUS!!!

Whew, I feel better now and I’ll try to quit shouting 😊 But did you ever? Winnie Bay looks at the camera (and Mama Terry hiding behind it trying to focus on capturing her adorable lil self on film,,, eh, I guess film is long gone but you get my drift!). She absolutely sparkles with personality and if she were any prettier we’d have to wear sunglasses lol.

Some puppies are a bit awed by my big camera but not this munchkin, she patty-caked those snowy boots and cut her eyes at me from ten different angles, “Is this my best side do you think? Maybe I should stand up really tall so everyone can see my cute tummy???” I get fanciful ideas about these puppies and what they understand, she’s got a glimmer in her eye like she’s just waiting for her special family to find her (and she’s exactly right, her people will just know when they look into those dark eyes that this is their puppy, and her new job of bringing real Puppy Joy will begin in earnest.

Yes, as to all the particulars, she’s super hypoallergenic, and non-shed, just look at that coat! She’s a brilliant deep ruby and shouldn’t fade a smidge. Outgoing, brave and social, she’ll be a great fit from coast to coast. As a first or second dog, a companion to your current feline friend or the dream puppy that your 12 year old daughter has been waiting for,,, too many years. I’m obviously on the kids side this this discussion by the way, KIDS NEED DOGS,,, KIDS NEED MOM-FRIENDLY, EASY TO TRAIN DOGS…. Oops, I stumbled back on my platform, but it’s true, nothing is a better tonic for your kids and your family than taking the Puppy Plunge ❤️

Oh, I’m over the moon for this puppy, I’ve asked John if Hastings doesn’t need a full-time buddy but they both seem to be happy with Hastings current status as the most spoiled dog on the place and doesn’t want any competition at snack time thank you very kindly. So, alas, my dreams of keeping one of the blues or this blazing mahogany boy are coming to naught.

Which is good news for some lucky Puppy Seeker out there, if you’ve been longing for a SUPER SWEET and EXCEPTIONALLY BEAUTIFUL puppy, Gulliver Boggs is your guy! He’s sporty and athletic enough to enjoy helping you get in those steps for the day, but totally happy to chill in the shade, hopefully with a nice cool fan blowing his way while you peruse the latest Country Living mag. (does anyone else read Rick Brag’s page first? LOVE HIM!). I sense a theme evolving here…

Oh this boy baby, that face, that expression, I promise you he’s actually the most social of butterflies, but during pictures he was ready for a nice long nap and I scooped him up just as he was drifting off to dreamland.

Ah, but he’s entirely flexible and a good sport, so he sat down, rolled back on his bottom (just like Hastings, that is the funniest position!) and gazed at me with this droll, “Will this take long, or should I plan on being here a while???”

What a dog he’s going to make. With a great sense of the comic, silly and playful one moment, snuggled like a sock monkey 🧦 🙈 on your shoulder the next, with ever changing expressions guaranteed to melt your heart one moment and make you laugh hysterically the next!

His coat is not quite as allergy-friendly as some of his siblings, he’ll still be very non-shed and you’ll love how easy he is to brush and maintain between groomings. Speaking of which, about every 8 weeks is average for keeping your Cavapoo or Cavachon tidy, find a great groomer and your puppy will be the talk of the town for cuteness! (Take along a few of his baby pictures from my site to show your groomer how you want him to look). We want that teddy looking face with a nice round scissoring and I love leaving the ears long. From the time he was little, Toby Tides has had this sturdy way of being. It’s like on the inside, he thinks he’s an 80-pound yellow lab, with giant paws and long floppy ears, and then he looks in the mirror and sees this teddy bear face looking back at him. Poor guy, I’m afraid he’s a bit disappointed, and feels like he’s much fluffier and way cuter than a “real dog” has any right to be lol.

For those husbands out there lobbying for a more sizey canine companion, don’t miss this sporty puppy guy who will prove to all the world that you don’t have to weigh 80 pounds to be the best dog a family ever has. Not to mention, have you seen how much a lab sheds? And drools? And, bless their goofy hearts, how long it takes them to grow out of the wildly enthusiastic “puppy” stage and acquire a bit of common sense. Lovable, yes, but oh my gosh, a whole bunch of doggie drama to deal with when you could forget about your image and get your wife the puppy she’s been dreaming of for years. Happy wife, happy life. Just saying… (I do get letters 😂).

Ah, but not to worry, Toby, my boy, you’ll find a wonderful home and your new people will appreciate you for exactly what you are, a little guy with a heart as big as the whole outdoors. And when you’re sleepily cuddling with your family and a cold winter’s night, you can dream dreams of hunting ducks and leaping over mud puddles in a single bound… Big dreams for a big-hearted puppy who fits neatly in his family’s hearts (and minivan), with nary a drool or shedded hair in sight!

SHE IS SUCH A DOLL BABY! Whew! Now I can take a breath, but did you ever? Don’t you just want to scoop her up and tell her how ridiculously adorable she is?!

Oh, I will try to control myself dear Puppy Peeps, but this litter makes it hard, the darling things, all of them have me cavorting in circles (when my back will allow such antics!)!🌻 🥰 🐶 The camera loves them too, just look at LuLu gazing ever so innocently at the sky while I take her photos, every angle is more winsome than the last, she was on her tippy toes trying to look irresistable I promise you!

Sporty and fun when you’re looking for a jogging companion, snuggly and destined to win the prize for the best four-footed couch potato ever, she’s adaptable and has a compliant personality that bodes well for all things puppy training. It’s never without a bit of drama, but when the puppy question looks like this, you’ll forgive her any mistakes cause she’s too cute to be mad at for long, lol.

As to size, I’m swinging back and forth a bit with these puppy kids. I’m usually pretty close, so I’m giving a range of 14-16 just to be safe. Small enough to tote along to Florida when you’re escaping the winter snows, but big enough to avoid the dreaded small dog syndrome and retain a good measure of the CKCS’ affectionate, non-barky nature. I’ve always loved the spaniel attitude, but combining it with a lovely non-shedding Bichon mother truly makes for an outstanding canine companion on every level.

He called pleading for help, “I can’t even walk through Central Park with them, the other day I counted TWENTY EIGHT people who wanted to know where they came from!” (True story!!!).

I assured her that I was perfectly aware of how marvelous she is, but we had to give all the puppies their fair share of time in the spotlight, but now now, lil’ miss is front and center! This gorgeous little munchkin, I don’t even know where to start 🤎 My first impression of her was that wagging white tipped flag of a tiny tail. Even when she was a wee baby, she joyfully waved that snowy tail in greeting the moment she spied a potential new friend, lol, her eyes sparkling with joy and just a smidge of mischief to keep things interesting.

She’s welcoming and lovingly affectionate with everyone she meets. Years in the pet care industry have given this dog breeder a special appreciation for sensible, sweet-tempered dog breeds; they are so easy to live with, and I promise, you’ll find it hard to believe how much a part of your family a good dog will become.

Yes, this girl is a beauty, I’m completely smitten with her richly shaded coppery coat, brilliant white accents, and loads of beige trim, all of which complete her most unusual costume. One of the most delightful traits of the Cavachon is its incredible color palette. Yes, my old favorites, the Blenheim and Tricolors, but also all shades of sable, including this seldom-seen solid version with such brilliant copper highlights.

Copper Rose will have the neighbors standing on their heads with doggie envy, she’ll prance down the street with her boots flashing, tail wagging, and wait for it,,, people stopping their cars to ask if they can take her picture! (I get letters!). Ah, but not to worry, she hasn’t a conceited bone in her little body and won’t let all that attention give her a complex. 👑 It’s a job being beautiful, but she’s up to the challenge!

Oh, everyone is going to fall in love with this sweet little miss sitting with all her might while Mama Terry took her puppy glamor shots. She was happy as can be, of course, she already knows she's a cutie patootie and that everyone she meets will want to pull out their phone and capture her cuteness! 

She is such a darling, “Posey”, as she's known to her friends, is lovable and affectionate; her happy place will be snuggled close by your side, hopefully sharing a bowl of popcorn on movie night 🍿 She says to tell you that’s what friends are for lol!

Definitely a people person, never meets a stranger, and is waggy-tailed and playfully friendly with everyone she meets. I'm guessing a bit as to her size, as small as 14 pounds, but perhaps she’s not reading my puppy bio, so she might continue up to about 16.

Beautiful markings, everyone knows I adore the tricolors, brilliant as well as beauteous, entertaining small folk who will make you laugh and only tear your hair occasionally with a bit of puppy drama. She'll do her very best to learn her puppy basics; she's already off to a flying start. Remember, I advise placing the sleeping crate next to your bed to ensure a puppy that sleeps right through the night from day one. And don't forget to peruse my puppy training manual; there are several other little tips in there that apply not only to Posey, but to any puppy you might end up with. I love helping people succeed with their new puppies, whatever breed they might be!

Oh, but that being said, we all know the best puppies have the Foxglove Farm Insignia on their little paws. You can't see it, it's super super tiny, probably microscopic, but each of my puppies is sent with that, albeit invisible, mark of approval from yours truly, the woman who lovingly sends them on their way to their forever homes with a special prayer that they arrive bearing more Puppy Joy than you dreamed possible. 💖 🐶 😇

Trust me on this, Yep, the puppies have strong opinions about who the top contenders are for pick of litter, with each little morsel entirely convinced, as in the case of Trixie Bloom, that he or she is the bee's knees and all to end all when it comes to puppy cuteness!

Trixie has a pretty strong case I must admit; that most endearing of little faces, those sweet dark eyes, that smidge of a nose that wants to touch everything, even Mama Terry’s camera lens which decidedly, does not need to be touched by puppy noses, so matter how adorable they might be lol.

Sitting there with all her might while I took her pictures, trying to decide if I would miss that yummy looking lobster squeaky or not, temptation in the form of rubber lobsters is a bit too much to resist. Especially, when hidden in the lobster’s tail is a thrilling squeaker that set’s puppy hearts aflame with the desire to REMOVE said squeaker and see if it tastes good 😆

Full of personality and smart as can be, she’ll sail effortlessly into your home and your heart, and wind everyone in the family round her small velvet paw in no time flat I promise. And, the best part? You’ll love every minute of it and won’t mind a bit when she licks you phone or nabs a bit of your cookie, after all, the pick of the litter has to have a few extra privileges, right???

Oh, this little darlin, a gold & white delight with the softest heart this side of the Mississippi!. Petite Cavachon little girls have been few and far between lately here at Foxglove Farm, but this litter has two adorable sisters to choose from, so don’t miss your chance!

My good dog Hastings is sitting on my lap this morning as I finish posting the last of the puppies. He wandered into what we affectionately call the cabin, our favorite space in the whole house. A converted porch, transformed with the addition of floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace, a vaulted ceiling with old wood rafters, suddenly took on the aspect of a cabin in the woods. 

We live out here. I carry my laptop out and sit at the long white pine table, and gaze across the hills to the Sapphire Blue Lake across the road. And with my own good dog sitting in my lap, I ponder all those people out there who also need a dog of their own. And I look into little Tater’s eyes, and I see his earnest, wondering expression. And of course, then, I have to wonder if he is wondering what his forever family is going to be like. 

Does he hope there are little kids to cart him around in a wagon with a doggy visor on his forehead? Or a lonely man in Manhattan who works from home on the 10th floor of some city apartment building, who has been trying to convince himself for years that he needs someone to talk to.

Tater wouldn't mind just about any scenario as long as there were loving hearts and open arms, and yes, perhaps somebody's nice cozy lap waiting for him to curl up on with a sigh and make himself at home. It's what I do. It's what I've done for literally decades, and I never get over the wonder of each small puppy life and the potential for so much happiness delivered in a furry little redheaded package just waiting to weave himself into the fabric of his family’s life.

And so I look into his eyes in each of his pictures. Thoughtful in one, puzzled in another, with a glimmer of mischief peeking through, wondering what that shiny big camera might be and if he might be allowed to taste some of those yummy-looking prop thingies. Oh, but I do digress, as you are all well aware of my ability to do!

He's a fabulous puppy: sweet teddybear face, and a riot of allergy-friendly curls. Perhaps a pinch less fancy than some of the splashy tuxedo-designed siblings in his litter, no high fancy boots on this little guy, but maybe a bit more budget-friendly for that tiny lack of chrome, and who knows, maybe he’s actually the pick of the litter after all with his most loving and loyal heart?

It's hard when you are so blonde and beautiful, and you know you were meant to be a princess and have your own toy box overflowing with a wonderful assortment of goodies just for you. But, sadly, while you're waiting to go home, you have to share your toys with a bunch of hoodlum brothers who don't believe it when you tell them that they should keep their paws off your pink bear 💖

Whoever heard of boys playing with a pink bear anyway!? Hurry up, my new mama, she says, rescue me and let's go shopping and start over with all brand new stuff that'll show those boys what a real princess looks like! 👑

Look at how prim and proper this little one is. She was thrilled with her fancy collar and said it matched her adorable self perfectly. Some puppies just love the camera and pose happily, turning from side to side so I don’t miss any of their best angles lol. She’s cheerful and utterly social with everyone she meets, born to be spoiled (she wanted to be sure I told you that part!) and she promises to let you play with her new toys if you don’t tell her brothers!

Cavachon Puppy Tricolor Boy | Moonbeam Baby | Playful & Fun | I’m thinking 14 or so pounds!

So I’m describing Jasper as playful and fun, and I promise he is! But he’s also a reflective little guy at times and spends a good bit of time gazing out of his puppy bed during nap time (when he should be sleeping lol) pondering the mysteries of life and whether or not Mama Terry ordered those yummy looking new dog treats on Amazon.

Yes, a real Cavachon character, our Jasper boy, with the cutest ways about him, and an irresistibly, comical Tricolor personality. Everyone knows I love the Blenheims, I love the Rubies, oh my goodness I love the Blue Merle's, but can I say it again the Tricolors!? They are wonderful, for one thing that coat never changes colors or fades at all, they stay that beautiful black white and tan, such a striking coat color.

I have a friend who used to raise Collies and she always thought the Tricolors where the smartest, I might not go that far because all of my puppies border on brilliance but she’s pretty nearly right! Jasper combines his brilliant puppy mind with so much sweetness, that woebegone face will melt your heart but don’t worry, the next moment he’ll be cantering off with your sock in his mouth because he knows you need to get your steps in and he’s all too happy to help mom as much as he can lol!

Another word about his coat, the texture is like silk, he’ll be easy to maintain between groomings, and I send every puppy home with the perfect mini sized slicker brush, you’ll be amazed at how therapeutic brushing this little guy will become. I groomed professionally for years, it’s oddly relaxing, especially with a willing participant, our puppies are introduced to all aspects of grooming and as a groomer told me recently, they are WONDERFUL to work with, just saying! You’ll enjoy it so much it may become your new hobby!
