Ain’t she sweet!? Our blissfully pretty Pittypat is convinced that the stork delivered her to the wrong litter. Why should she have to share her toys with her brothers, anyway? she asks. Puddin’ Pie says to inform her sister that she’s not the only scrumptious little morsel on the planet but Pittypat is NOT listening! I carefully explain to each of them that there are plenty of toys for everyone to choose a favorite, and yes, that learning to share is good for puppy souls.

Though she dreams of wearing glittering collars and bandanas covered in sparkles, this Cavachon cutie has an exceedingly loving heart, and I see a future as a family dog supreme. She’ll happily ride around in a baby buggy if your littlest daughter so desires, then play study-buddy alongside your teen as he wrestles with the last of his homework.

She adores the entire human race. Her tail wags with joy the moment she greets a visitor. No grumpy canines in the world of Cavachons, I promise you; they are social butterflies all! The perfect puppy if you’re looking for a friend to bring a bit of spice to your senior dog’s life. There’s nothing like a youngster to take years off a dog who’s gotten too attached to his bed. For that matter, if your recliner too often calls your name, the addition of a spunky pup pup can turn back the clock for you as well!

Don’t miss her, she’s even more adorable in person, and she says to tell everyone “Pick ME! I’m the BEST!” (Direct quote by the way 🧝‍♀️).

We are finally having cool fall-like temperatures, and the puppies are thrilled to bits. “Lacey,” as she’s known here at home, was out in the puppy play yard this afternoon, running as fast as her little legs would carry her, a stuffed raccoon firmly clenched in her tiny jaws with her siblings in hot pursuit. She spied me out of the corner of her eye and came cantering over for me to rescue her before her mean siblings robbed her of her FAVORITE (for the moment anyway) raccoon toy!

She’s too pretty to resist, with her sweet face and big imploring eyes, of course I hurried to save her from the little predators and gave them all their very own assortment of stuffed cows and ducks and a whole array of puppy friendly toys. Lots of toys and lots of playtime, the perfect recipe for a puppy who sleeps through the night and is almost angelic (at least some of the time lol).

I ranted a bit about the various doodles in my newsletter (don’t forget to sign up!) and my love for the Cavalier hybrids known as the Cavapoo & Cavachon. In a lifetime spent with dogs, I’ve never encountered anything quite like them. I'll never get over loving a beautiful dog, but when beauty and brains are packaged together with health and trainability, you have the makings of the best dog you'll ever own.

This little girl will fit seamlessly and, in just about any setting, be exceedingly social, brave, and not one bit alpha. If you've been teetering on the fence for far too long and the kids are about to give up in despair of your ever saying Yes to the puppy question, why don't you surprise everyone with your daring and adopt a little miss like this?  Or if the grandkids are the ones doing the pleading, think how much leverage you'll have with a puppy magnet like Lacey, they'll want to spend every weekend with you. Well, all this baby girl needs is an apron and someone to boost her up to the counter in your kitchen, and she’s fully prepared to lend a paw with any and all cooking adventures. She says to tell everyone that she’s extra helpful like that, and licking the bowl is one of the favorite things in her job description. 🧑‍🍳

Hastings is my own personal kitchen assistant, and can hear a spoon scraping a bowl from anywhere in the house. 😋 There’s nothing like a furry creature gazing lovingly at you while you sift, bake, and stir yummy meals together.

That’s the definition of the perfect canine companion, by the way, a smallish creature who loves his people so much that he follows the family’s lead devotedly. From peering into the fridge for a midnight snack to forcing dad to get off the couch and sail around the block with mom to get some steps in, a good dog will be on its toes with tail awag, cheering you on no matter what you dream up to do next.

Candy Corn is convinced that she was born to do just that, fall head over heels in love with her new family and fill their hearts with more Puppy Joy than they dreamed possible. From the top of her velvety head to the end of her cute tail, she’s chock-full of sweetness & good sense and yes, more than a smidge of mischief just to keep things interesting. Precisely what a Foxglove Farm puppy should be!

Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Girl | Sassy & Sweet | Irish Setter RED | 14 Pounds-ish

Isn’t she the prettiest puppy ever?! (Don’t tell her siblings I said that!). Oh, I do love these beautifully marked, deep mahogany Cavapoo babies, lots of snowy white makes for the prettiest expressions! Someone shared one of our all-grown-up Cavapoo puppy kids with me on Instagram, and I almost swooned. That little mite reminded me of Lottie Waffles, head-over-heels gorgeous!

Speaking of groomers, the report back from her shop owner was that her new puppy was a dream to groom, which doesn’t surprise this dog breeder one bit. I spent many years grooming professionally, and I make sure each one of our puppies has a gentle yet thorough introduction to everything that they’ll encounter later in life at the grooming parlor, from nail trimming to standing politely at bathtime, hairdryers, slicker brushes, and the thousand and one steps to a well-groomed pooch. This is such necessary training for a young puppy, and one that will make your new puppy a favorite at your local shop.

Lottie Waffles doesn’t seem to have let her beauty go to her head; sweet & spunky and just a tad bit old-fashioned, she’s hoping her new mama buys her lots of toys and is looking for a doggie companion to take on all of her roadtrips. Lottie hasn’t figured out GPS yet, but she’s super smart and sure that she’ll figure it out in no time lol!

A delightful choice for just about any setting, she’ll have you wrapped right round her velvet paw before you know it. Don’t worry, you’ll be smiling all the way, I promise!

Oh, this Cavapoo baby pumpkin! Isn’t she just the most precious little creature ever? That teeny tiny face with the perfect white blaze and a riot of curls, she’ll win over even your dog-adverse Uncle Charles and have him asking you to bring her over for a visit lol.

She steals hearts wherever she goes, complete strangers ooh and all over her (which she loves, by the way; she knows how irresistible she is and is happy to share herself with her adoring public). Indeed, a social butterfly in the making.

Ah, but fear not, she’s also full of pep and spirit and thinks she’s a great big dog, fully capable of sending the neighbor’s pesky cat packing or dealing with any chipmunks that need chasing away from your yard. (Hastings and I are of two minds about chipmunks; he happily gallops in vain, trying to catch one, I put peanuts out for them!).

The great thing about even a diminutive little girl like this one is that she's fully capable of sounding the alarm in the wee hours of the morning if your castle ever needs guarding. I'm not a fan of barky dogs, but oh my goodness, it's a comfort to have a dog that sleeps with one eye open just in case the boogeyman makes an appearance! (Reason #217 on why you need a dog of your very own 😆 ).

Well, let me back up, she’ll sound the alarm, then she’ll charm the socks off any potential burglars and make them mend their ways with her cuteness overload. Speaking of which, notice the silly picture I took of the very tip of her tail? Please don’t let your groomer ever trim it off; it’s perfect!

Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Boy | All Boy | Wants a cowboy hat! | Sturdy Guy | 16 Pounds

So, Coco Clyde said he wants everyone to know that he did NOT pick the ridiculously oversized pink floral bow and had no idea that he was going to have to pose in such girly duds until the last minute, when it was too late to run to the store and get him a proper cowboy hat! He's worried that everyone will think he's a sissy, but I promised to tell you all, but he is brave and smart and funny and yes indeed, all boy from the tip of his black button nose to the end of his fluffy white tipped tail!

Ready to roam the prairie and tag along happily on any and all family adventures. He's brave and waggy-tailed and extra friendly with all creatures great and small. Gosh, these guys are still the best-kept secret in the dog world. While the rest of the Doodles take front and center stage, I'm still head over heels in love with what I call the better Doodle. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel adds smarts and sweetness and yes, a little more canine calmness to the recipe, making for a much more manageable and trainable Doodly companion, I promise you.

Yes, I’m all for hypoallergenic dogs (none are completely that, but these come close!), but along with coat qualities, let’s remember that no matter how cute a puppy is, if he grows up to be a 50-pound, eternal adolescent, suddenly, having a dog is not nearly as much fun as you had hoped.

These Cavalier hybrids mature very quickly, navigating through puppyhood in months instead of years. Before you know it, you will have accomplished house training and all the basic necessary education needed to make your new doggy addition to the family a solid citizen instead of a harem scarem, always on go, headache of a family dog. Sorry, I do get letters!

Back to our good dog Clyde, of the unfortunate pinkish-hued bow. He’ll make the best kind of family dog, whimsical and wise, yes, he’ll have lots of puppy sillies but from day one, they’ll be tempered with lots of snuggle time, and an affectionate nature that promises he’ll do his best to learn his lessons quickly and make you exceedingly glad that you found him and Foxglove Farm at the beginning of your puppy seeking journey.

Well, I’ll be in trouble in Google Land again. I’ve used TWELVE pictures of our precious puppy guy, I’ve been strictly admonished to use no more than “please,,, 6 to 8 images to keep pages loading quickly”…. Sigh… I tried to pare down my selections, but it’s so hard when every picture is cuter than the last!

That whimsical face, as he cuts his eyes back and forth, clearly enjoying all the delicious-looking pumpkiny paraphernalia. By the way, do let me know if the page is truly hard to load, and I'll have to go back to the drawing board. 

I've been working on this website for over 20 years, and all the moving parts would astound you. My view of it as my own personal scrapbook and puppy picture extravaganza sometimes stretches more of the technical aspects of good website management. 

I am first and foremost a lover of beautiful puppies and dogs, and passionately sharing them, whether people buy a puppy or not, is one of my most favorite things to do. Take that, Google website police!

Back to our woodsy little guy with his most earnest expression and funny little smidges of white splashed here and there. I see a future as a most excellent addition to someone's family. You could almost shut your eyes and pick any of these puppies; they're all truly lovely examples of the breed. And better yet, each has a lovely personality happily ensconced in each of these darling little packages.

Cedar Finn will make an avid dog lover out of you in no time, from snuggling with your toddlers to greeting your teenager sympathetically when she comes in from volleyball practice in a huff because the coach truly is clueless.

He’ll hurry after your little people to make sure they know that no matter what the world holds, they have a faithful and most loving small dog who will spend every waking hour endeavoring to bring smiles to faces, kiss away boo boos, fetch Frisbees, and, after all is said and done, happily licking his dinner dish clean. You’ve just found the very best friend you'll ever have, even though he does have four paws.

Cavachon Puppy Blenheim Boy | Waggy-Tail | Extra Loveable | 12 - 14 Pounds Grown

A smallish little guy, Kibbles is the old soul in the litter. I can see him tucked under a fuzzy blanket with his favorite people on a cold and snowy night. Yes, a comfort hound in the making.. He’s still all boy and hasn’t a clue that being the smallest, he probably should leave the big toys to the bigger puppies. For example.

He watches everyone sail up and down on the teeter-totter and tries to have a turn, but it's not much fun since he only weighs about 4 pounds. The other puppies like to sit on the lower end, leaving him waiting patiently on the upper end until someone finally steps off and lets him glide back down to the ground. He’s a good sport, though, and happily hops back on for a ride whenever they want to play.

I love his little face. He gazed at me on puppy picture day, obviously not too sure that he wanted his pictures taken. Still, he’s such a darling. Whichever way I placed him, I could see the wheels turning. He didn’t know why, but if it made Mama Terry happy, he was willing to go along for the ride (kinda like the teeter-totter lol!).

Yes, sporty and fun when you want him to be, and a snugglebug the rest of the time. As long as he can be by your side, he’ll be happy. That’s the lovely thing about a Cavachon, they intuitively become so much a part of your life that you don't know what you ever did without them. 

The best sort of canine companions. They know when you are in dire need of a nap and are only too happy to take a little snooze to keep you company. When you need to laugh, your Cavachon’s eyes will gleam with mischief, his tail wag with delight, and suddenly he’s off in search of his favorite armadillo toy to try to tempt you into a game of catch me if you can. Always there, always loving and joyfully making themselves one of the best parts of your day, no wonder I think every home should have at least one of them. 🏡

Suffice to say, he is irresistibly adorable, with a face like an angel and enough personality for any two puppies! Looking for an entertaining canine companion who’ll keep you laughing and only slightly on your toes with his silly antics? Even more adorable in person, chock-full of Cavapoo character and charm. He’s outgoing and playful, sporty and athletic until it’s time to crash on his bed (he says to tell everyone he loves the donut-style ones 🛏️) where he’ll zombie out for an hour or so to recharge his puppy batteries.

Small but mighty, he has no clue that he’s a smallish puppy, and will happily fit in as a companion for your Golden Retriever or as a travel-friendly buddy for any road trips you have in mind. He’ll convince you in no time that he’s the cat’s pajamas and have you wrapped right round his lil velvet paw in no time flat, I promise, just keep all feathery creatures well out of his reach lol!

Cavapoo Puppy Apricot & White Girl | GORGEOUS | Loving & Playful | Extra Smart | 12 Pounds-ish

Isn't she just the most beautiful baby ever!? Oh, it's hard to pick a favorite because all the puppies in this litter are lovely, but I'm rather smitten with this girl’s dreamy expression, those big dark eyes, and her delicious frosty coat. She is a darling without doubt!

Personable and friendly, she starts a wee bit bashful and then, before you know it, she is snuggled in your lap, pointing with that little nose toward the puppy’s newest favorite snack, the bag with the CUTE fallish logo (if you adopt her, you have to order a supply of them!) she does adore a yummy bisquit and equally happy about her potty training treats. There, she can relax now, I’ve shared the links lol!

She’s not a bit timid, waggy-tailed but not alpha, a compliant puppy who truly wants to please, though like all puppies, she’s most compliant after a good run around the backyard to use up puppy heebie-jeebies 🚙 Remember folks, a tired puppy is a good puppy! And, allowing the new addition a couple of outdoor sessions daily to romp and play off-leash is the recipe for success with any breed!

Gentle children welcome, my Little Puppy Training guide comes with every puppy and is a very kid-friendly, fun, and informative read. Since most kids are willing to do ANYTHING to get mom to say YES to a puppy, getting them to read it will be no problem; they’ll be showing you the proper way to train in no time flat!

So if your hubby is lobbying for a “real dog” and keeps sharing websites with labs and golden retrievers, and heaven help us,,, maybe even Cane Corsos? 😳 Let's talk him off the ledge and back to reason and share an eminently more delightful to-live-with option like Casey Jones!

With years of working as a veterinary technician and as the past owner of a popular boarding kennel, I’ve seen the end result of puppy picking gone wrong a thousand times. Take my good advice for the sake of your sanity, choose a loveable, smart, TRAINABLE puppy. One that won’t have you tearing your hair with doggie regrets and arguing over whose idea it was to choose 80-pound “Bruno” in the first place? Bruno, who at 5 years of age is still completely clueless as to what polite behaviour looks like, and so terrorizes your mom with his wildly enthusiastic greetings that she’s afraid to come visit. (Was that a plan on hubby’s part, maybe?)

Yes, the Cavachon (and its red-headed cousin, the Cavapoo) is still one of the best-kept secrets in the world of puppy options, though not for want of my efforts to proclaim the delights of this delightful spaniel hybrid. Sporty and athletic, yes, but since they're bred to be companion dogs, not working or sporting dogs, a minimum of exercise will keep your new puppy on track and learning his puppy lessons nicely.

Tell hubby that Miss Terry says he’ll thank me later, just go ahead and pick Casey Jones or one of his irresistible siblings, and, before you can say Puppy Chow, you’ll both be reaching out for another Foxglove Farm puppy because everyone is totally over the moon for the first one!

Looking for a happy-go-lucky, sunshiny kind of puppy who’ll bring a smile to your face every day? Mr Twig is your boy! All he needs is a flannel shirt and a pair of bib overalls, and he’ll be the perfect sidekick for all those fall adventures you’ve got on your list 🍂🍎🍁

He’s super sweet, with yes, a comical personality, but don’t worry, he’s also smart and trainable, his very favorite thing is hearing that wonderful phrase “What a goooood boooooy you are Twiggy!” (All the puppies get lots of nicknames by the way, so of course, when you want to pick a new one, they’ve not bonded with my rather quirky monikers lol.

An entertaining but perfectly cuddly choice for any setting, he loves humans, big and small, other dogs, and probably anything that has two or four feet. He’s an equal opportunity love bug!😹 I’ve seen more than my share of unfriendly canines through my canine career. There’s nothing worse than a small dog that is suspicious of new people or surroundings. Thank God for jolly little dogs who are born with hearts full of love that they literally never meet a stranger.

Speaking of which, see the looooong vowels I’m using in praising my pup pups? So pleasing to doggie ears, you can see their little faces light up when they hear that phrasing; think calm but rich with genuine warmth and affection. Puppies thrive on a diet rich in praise, yes, corrections are important too, I’m including my puppy manual with each puppy to help you get it right, by the way. I’ve a philosophy of training that keeps even famous dog trainers across the country singing the praises of Foxglove Farm puppies and how brilliantly trainable they are! Here’s a recent missive, “She is absolutely special and such an easy dog to train! She was a pure joy to work with!” (Hugs to Luna & her family in California!”

So, while Waldo Crumb’s sister Tilly Acorn thought having her pictures taken was more fun than the law allowed, Waldo took one look and immediately decided that he’d much, MUCH rather go take a nap or maybe get a nail trim, anything would be better than having to pose with all that girlie Fou Fou stuff and look silly. He’s a BOY DOG, thank you very kindly!

He grudgingly posed for me, turning this way and that, occasionally giving me a reproachful look, gazing sadly out the window at the teeter-totter, hinting that there were undoubtedly more fun things to do with his afternoon. Finally, I bribed him with a bunny toy that I knew he adored. Sure enough, he tucked it under his chin and plopped down for a rest until Mama Terry gave him a reprieve.

Ah, but put that big camera down? He morphs into Mr. Cuddles and sharing a few puppy kisses before he trots off with his sisters, tail wagging happily, and puppy pictures are nothing but a distant memory lol. I’d say he’s a bit of an old soul, with a laid-back disposition that promises he’ll be a gentle but still entertaining canine companion.

Gentle kids would be appreciated, empty nesters would be adored, a position as second dog might be nice too!

Cavapoo Puppy Apricot & White Girl | Cozy but Sporty too! | Porch Swing Pup | 12 or so pounds

Oh my goodness, our “Alice,” as she’s known here at home, is a darling on four paws! Yes, though she’s full of bounce at times, and happy to tag along on any adventures you can dream up; she’s also completely happy to wrap up in a fuzzy blanket and have a nice long nap if that’s on your agenda.

While these are surprisingly agile and athletic little folk, the beauty of the mix is their ability to morph from your bestest walking buddy to a couch potato in a nanosecond. They are so close to human it’s ridiculous, honestly, I’ve been in dogs a million years and there’s nothing to compare to either the Cavapoo or Cavachon as the ultimate canine companion. I adore them, and until you have one, you might not understand, but once you’ve lived with one of these brilliant, funny, SWEET, small dogs, you’ll understand why I’m so passionate about them.

And I must say there’s no better partner to share a few bites from your bowl of popcorn with on a dark and snowy night when you can’t get enough of the latest Agatha Christie that has you on the edge of your seat. (You can see how I spend my winter evenings). Alice will plop her little self down and hold your paw if you get scared. What more could you ask for in your new best friend?

She’s a complete love, and even more beautiful in person.

Indigo Pearl is our seaside treasure, wrapped in soft sky-blue swirls and purest white accents. She’s soft, sparkly, and always ready for a nap on your lap after a morning of curiosity, playful and entertaining, but born with a snuggler’s soul 💙

I’m besotted with this color, my newest favorite, of course! I’m amazed at the lovely shades of this wonderful BLUE that appear in each of my merle babies.

Indigo couldn’t be a smidge more delightful if she tried, that swirly coat, those CRYSTAL BLUE EYES, a furry bundle of puppy bliss who thinks the world is indeed her oyster and prances those sparkling white boots as if she has to show everyone how rare and irresistible a puppy can be!

Yes, her coloring alone is enough to stop hearts mid-scroll, but it’s her sweet, soulful nature that really steals the show. She leans into your hand with a sigh, all soft ears (those tiny curls!) and happy tail wags, she adores everyone she meets and the feeling is I assure you, mutual!

Sporty and fun as well as beautiful, she adores gentle games of tug, pouncing after her favorite plush crab, and waddling off with a victory prize in her tiny jaws.

All of our puppies are being raised with love and a focus on the basics, Her temperament is wonderfully balanced: joyful and affectionate without being over-the-top, with a built-in love of all creatures great and small.
