Why in the world puppies end up with their quirky names is beyond me. For example, this little guy just had an air about him that reminded me of our days in Charleston. We were there for over 20 years, and I deeply loved the Lowcountry and the saltwater marshes, the slow, soft Southern drawl of my neighbors. So, how in the world did Boone Hall bring all that back to me with one look of his big brown eyes? He is such a humble dog, with those long floppy ears + soulful face.

I think it's a certain something in his expression, courtly and old worldly, with a pinch of sass thrown in to keep things fun. He's such an old soul, yes, he will play and romp with the best of them, but he'll also place his chin on your shoulder and give a big sigh and snuggle close with this yearning that I promise will capture your heart.

He's going to make a great traveling companion, I can see him riding sidekick with the top down, ears flying in the wind, tail wagging when he spies Starbucks because that's where they have them Puppuccino thingies! Trust me, these dogs are entirely smart enough to figure out Starbucks and even the drive-thru. By the time Hastings and I pull up to the pickup window, he is standing, tail wagging wildly, trying to see if the clerk at the counter is someone he has met before.

So much fun, that's all I have to say, a great dog will bring that in abundance to your life. And a great puppy like Boone will make puppy ownership or puppy parenting, whichever you prefer, more fun than you ever dreamed possible. I've loved dogs since I could walk, and it's simply my mission and my passion in life to help people navigate the obstacles to taking the plunge. And yes, one of these days when I write that book I'll share the amazing stories and how He has blessed not only me but our wonderful puppies and yes, ultimately, the homes they go to 🙏🏻
