Isn’t he the most yummy, furry lil sea sprite? I am over the moon, totally and completely for this color, that gleaming black with tan bits and sprinkles of white giving him the perfect tuxedo style coat and eyebrows to be the envy of any sea captain (or pirate!) on the deep blue sea! Drift Woody is all sunshine and sand between his toes (er—paws). Yes, this is a RARE color in the Cavachon. I’ve had a few of them lately, but they are typically few and very far between, so if you fall in love, better dive in!

Yes, I also adore our Cavachons in general, regardless of the color, as we all well know, but I was pondering what in the world it is about these Cavalier Hybrids (yes, the Cavapoo too!) that makes them such outstanding canine companions? I truly believe they think they’re people, in the nicest way possible, not in an entitled way at all. Their families love them so much, and you won’t believe how attached you can get until you have one; they truly become part of the fabric of your life.

One of their most charming qualities is the way they look right into your eyes with this intelligence and affection, sympathy when you need it, and comic relief if that’s what you’re lacking. I find myself SPELLING words in front of Hastings, and brilliant dog that he is, he’s already figured out that Cookie is the same as C-O-O-K-I-E,,, I’m going to have to start putting snack requests in writing lol.
