These Sable girls have a special place in my heart; they have a motherly way about them that makes me smile. Lately, Sally Scout has been babysitting two of the younger puppies for me. She alternates between being a tender-hearted big sister and pouncing on the best toys and carrying them off where the littles can’t reach them… Yes, just enough sass to keep everyone on their toes, says she! So indeed, she does prance and dance and pittypat around with those flashing white boots of hers because puppies indeed must be puppies. That’s their charm, and the brief window of puppyhood is indescribably sweet.

There’s no meanness in her, though; she quickly relents and shares whatever her current heartthrob happens to be, and peace and harmony reign as they take turns tugging the BIG BLUE FISH back and forth between themselves. All lying down, mind you, because that’s the best way to get a good hold on fishy and sometimes pull it away from your playmates!

Ah, my dear puppies, what joy they bring me and what blessings they become to each family they go to. I have the privilege of sending happiness, packaged in a furry little bundle who holds the key to more love than their new families could possibly imagine. The best job in the world don’t you think? ❤️
