Nationwide Cyber Attack On Puppy Sites

Terry Cross

Dear Puppy People 😞

Please use extreme caution when searching the internet for puppies of any breed; there has been a vicious cyber attack nationwide superimposing the text "Puppy Mill" over hundreds of reputable sites and their listings and images.

I have appealed to the legal team at Google but they are dealing with literally thousands of attacks and there is little hope of a quick resolution or the takedown of these fraudulent sites all of which are linked to infected websites.

As a breeder who loves dogs and her puppies, I abhor puppy mills and want to see every last one of them abolished. It is heartbreaking to see that terminology associated with my beautiful puppies and internet presence and other responsible dog breeders who have also been targeted.

Currently, it looks like the attacks originated in Singapore and Germany, and are using sites with puppy pictures to lure victims into fake websites to capture their personal information.

I personally know three of the breeders listed below. They have beautiful puppies raised in loving homes in immaculate conditions and are as heartbroken as I am to be included in this deliberate and malicious attack. I’m sharing some of the fraudulent content to help people avoid clicking on these websites and infecting their computers with malware and worse.

Another easy clue to spot a fraudulent website is to look at the URL (website address), these sites, instead of using β€œ.com” addresses have β€œ.de” or a string of convoluted characters like the following (I’ve removed portions of each URL so there is no way you can accidentally click on one of these examples 😊 ) ****schwabach.de,,, lxxxvuah.thecomicsnostalgia.pl,,, foxglovenmb-schwabach.de

I love writing this newsletter and sharing it with thousands of puppy lovers whether they are customers or not. I know this isn't the content you are used to receiving but I had to make you aware and if one person is saved from an infected computer it will be worth it.

Most sincerely,

Terry Cross
