The Kitchen That Called the Fire Department
Terry Cross
My dream seaside dream house with a beautiful imaginary kitchen tucked inside I’m sure!!!
Dear Puppy Seekers,
Here at Foxglove Farm, raising Cavachon and Cavapoo puppies has survived twenty years of household adventures—but apparently our old kitchen had finally had enough. 🧑🍳 ‼️ 🍲
We are in the home stretch with the kitchen remodel; the last (hopefully!) few delays are set to complete this week. John, my darling hubby, is organizing his spice drawer, and I’m thanking the Lord for a real honest-to-goodness hood vent and smoke alarms that remain happily silent!
Though we didn’t have an actual fire (thank you LORD!), in all the confusion of trying to silence the shrieking alarms, we missed the fact that SimpliSafe had dispatched the fire department 😳 It was only when we saw the red flashing lights coming up our driveway that we realized what had happened. How embarrassing… 🍽️ 🧑🍳 🥘
At last our range is properly positioned on an outer kitchen wall; yes, we now actually have a hood with a vent. After a zillion delays, they have promised that tomorrow, the doors go on the cabinets, and everything can go back in its proper place, and I will breathe an enormous sigh of relief!
The puppies, bless them, have been oblivious to all the kitchen drama, and are enjoying the warm, sunny days. Their favorite thing is swimming at a puppy pool party; well, they think they’re swimming, but the puppy pool only holds a few inches of water. All the same, they think it’s the ocean and are happy as little clams splashing about. 🐠
That’s all for this edition of the Puppy Post, except for an update for those of you who fell in love with Sammy Starfish: he is heading north of the border next week to MOOSEJAW, Saskatchewan, Canada! Don’t you love it?! 🫎
Congratulations to Jodi and her family, who are already head over heels in love with this tiny little munchkin!
🐶 TWO delightful Cavachon girls, lovely, smallish creatures (except for life-of-the-party Myrtle Mae, who is a pinch bigger). Super chill and happiest in the hammock under a palm tree with a frosty puppicho held in their furry little paws. They are the perfect choice for those looking for an easy-peasy puppy who loves to snuggle in between swims.
Fondest Summery Wags,
Miss Terry
