The dearest little bundle who melts into your arms the moment you pick her up with a sigh and a look that says, “Where have you been all my life? I’ve been waiting for you!”

She is going to be a most devoted small companion, following you from room to room to make sure you don’t need her help whilst folding the laundry, or better still, she’ll be happy to sample that chicken soup simmering on the stove; she’s a helpful little creature and anxious to lend a paw wherever needed.

Everyone knows how much I adore my Cavachons; they are, without doubt, the most intuitively loving and affectionate dogs of any breed I’ve ever known. Kind-hearted, faithful, quiet-natured, but though small, they are happy to guard your castle, though giving kisses to the UPS guy is as far as most will get to any protection work. They will give a “Woof!” if they think you need to answer the door and let the pizza delivery guy drop off supper, but he, too, will receive a loving welcome. What lovely little dogs with hearts of gold! Yes, 20+ years of raising them, and I'm more smitten than ever; they are the best!

Gumdrop is just waiting to deliver her own measure of Puppy Joy, and I have a feeling her new owner will be exceedingly happy to welcome her home.

I’m so happy for you, and, can I say it? Everyone needs an amazing dog in their life, whew! I feel better now, many thanks! Oh, but it’s so true, a great puppy will bring so much more joy than you ever dreamed possible. Dogs are good for you; they raise our feel-good hormones, make us get out of that recliner and actually move our bodies, and fill our homes with love and laughter, win, win, and win!

I’m off the bandwagon and back to doing what I do best: helping you choose the right puppy for you. First of all, who are you the most drawn to, that’s important, which puppy is jumping off the page and into your heart every time you gaze into her eyes?

Is the family going back and forth between favorites? What size are you looking for? Yes, I get letters. One client told me the other day she had sent 15 people to our website, and another emailed pleading for business cards so he could actually walk through Central Park without having to stop every 2 minutes and explain to adoring puppy watchers how they could get one of their very own. This is such a fabulous breed. There are so many chaotic Doodles out there; do yourself a favor and land on a Cavalier hybrid. As in a Cavachon or a Cavapoo, you'll have the best of both worlds. An extremely hypoallergenic dog, but one who majors on common sense, kindness, and a lovely, playful disposition.

And did I mention that they almost never bark? Ask most Doodle owners what they struggle the most with, and that's way too high on the list. I think the Cavalier adds a softness and brings personality traits to the table like no other “designer dog” combination. A couple of decades in, and I still couldn't recommend them more enthusiastically. But you already know that, right? Just saying!

Cavachon Puppy Tri-Color Girl | Dream Puppy | Kitchen Helper Wannabe | 18 Pounds All Grown Up

I’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, giving my puppy course, New Puppy 101, a refresh. I love helping new puppy parents find a calmer path to raising puppies, and I love working on websites, so it’s been a labor of love, but lots of fun too.

There’s so much utter nonsense online when it comes to training puppies; it boggles the mind. I feel sorry for the hapless puppy owner who wanders through Google or ChatGPT trying to find training advice. It’s a scary world out there for puppy novices.

Ah, but not to worry, here’s the good news: when you bring home a Cavachon (especially, a Foxglove Farm Cavachon of course!), you set yourself up for success from day one.

This little girl, for example. I fully expect Tootise Pop to be sleeping through the night from the start in her new home. She’ll have all three sets of her core puppy boosters completed, so you can take her places without worrying about missing important socialization because she has to wait weeks for her boosters to be finished, so she can walk on the sidewalk or meet your daughter’s dog.

She already knows about grooming, having her nails trimmed, bath time, doggie hair dryers, leash training has been started, crate training is well underway, she’s starting on her housetraining basics, which will make your job so much easier once she gets home.

No, I’m not saying she’ll never have an accident in the house or chew one of your socks; she’s a puppy, and puppy stuff happens. Isn’t that just the best description of the perfect Canine Companion? My inbox is overflowing with glowing reports like that one from Jane with the namesake for our current Sophie Grace. (Hello hugs to Jane and her baby girl if you happen to see this!).

After 20+ years of raising my beloved doggie soulmates, the Cavachons, and their red-headed Cavapoo cousins, I am still besotted with each new litter and amazed by the stories of the hearts and families they have blessed. Puppies like this beautiful, silky-coated Sable girl, with her earnest small face and those eyes gazing soulfully out across the internet, just waiting to connect with her special person, and the family who will welcome her home.

Sophie Grace is even prettier in person, I promise, as, by the way, all of our puppies are! When you pick her up in your arms, she’ll give a big sigh, kiss your chin with a little puppy lick, and yes, stay in your lap by the hour, completely content just to be near her special person.

Ah, but not to worry, she also has a playful side and can prance and dance like all good puppies, she’ll skitter across the kitchen floor like a kitten, carrying her toys off to her bed to make sure they’re all tucked in for the night like a good little mother hen.

Sweet and soft-natured, she’ll be a wonderful addition to the family, I promise, and you’ll pop into my inbox in the months or years to come and tell me that adding her to your lives was the best decision you ever made ❤️

Cavachon Puppy Black & Tan Boy | Comical but Sincere | Purty Fancy Fancy | 18 Pounds-Ish

I couldn't decide which picture to use for LB’s puppy glamor shot! I wanted to show everyone his delicious little snowy toes with those fancy beige knee socks! He was happily posing back and forth and helpfully stuck his nose right ON my camera lens just to be sure I was getting all his best sides lol. Much to Google’s dismay, I’ve included lots of them for your viewing enjoyment!

An unusual color in the Cavachon, if you’ll notice the difference, a Tricolor has completely white paws and legs in most instances, but the black and tan puppies have a distinct, showy beige stocking accented with white, I love unusual colors and this litter also includes 3 SOLID SABLE girls, I have a new favortie every time I look at them lol!

If you’re looking for an easy-going couch potato who occasionally morphs into a spunky, frisbee-catching, lake swimming, car buddy kind of canine companion, he’s your guy!

Such a lovely disposition, he’s a total mush of a puppy. Super affectionate, waggy-tailed, he loves people of all ages and animals of every description, a love sponge of a puppy.

He’s already very trainable and super smart. See those bright eyes gazing ever so soulfully into the camera (and your heart across the miles by the way), I see a compliant-natured puppy who longs to hear “What a gooood puppy you are!” No Alpha dogs here!

Silky coat with waves and curls promise he’ll be very low-shedding with an easy-to-manage coat that, if you get brave, you could groom yourself at home (in between visits to your local pooch parlor, anyway!).

All in all, a down-to-earth, lovable puppy who will do his best to learn his puppy ABC’s as quickly as possible, you’ll be back on the website looking for a little companion for him next year, he’ll help you train the newcomer, not to worry!

Cavachon Puppy Black & Tan! Girl | Rare Color | People Person | Loves Shopping | 16 - 18 Pounds

Gallump, gallump, gallump, at least that's what the pitter-patter of this girl’s fluffy paws sounds like as she canters across the kitchen floor. She’s enthralled with the puppy’s newest FAVORITE TOY, drum roll,,, the yellow duckling that came in the trio of toys that arrived with my latest Amazon find. A miniature fishing pole with funny detatchable stuffed animals that the puppies adore (If you’re even thinking about getting a puppy, this will be the best $19.99 you’ll ever spend!) The perfect way to exercise your puppy when the weather doesn’t allow much fun outdoors.

It doesn’t take much to entertain Tutti Fruttie; she’s a happy-go-lucky and cheerful little person, though lots of toys are right up her alley. I like an assortment, by the way. Stuffed animals are great. Pick a couple of the ones with crinkly plastic inside; they are especially thrilling to puppy ears. And, yes, we want hard chewable toys for baby jaws to gnaw on. Here are some of our current favorites, (see how easy that was to get your puppy shopping cart off and running lol!) 🧸 ⚽️ 🍖 🎁

And remember, I send along a well-stocked puppy kit when you take your puppy home, you won’t need a collar or a leash (as for a harness, let’s learn our puppy basics first with a collar, then graduate to a well-fitted harness!). I also include a couple of those stuffed animals I mentioned, those will smell like home and be your puppy’s favorites for years to come. One “puppy” still chose his elephant toy that I’d sent home over 7 years ago, his mom said it was the first toy he took out of his toy box every evening. The perfect slicker brush for Cavachon coats, an orange and blue rubber ball that the puppies love to chase, etc etc!

Ah, but I digress, Tutti Fruttie reminded me that I should tell you how super duper lovely dovey she is, and that she knows how to balance on her hind paws and give puppy kisses (while looking soulfully into your eyes, pleading for puppy cookies!).

Oh, this big-eyed dreamboat of a puppy! She's rather a cross between Bambi and Lassie Come Home, almost fairy tale pretty, a riot of silky curls and a face like a puppy angel! Ah, but I promise she's all puppy underneath that charming exterior. She's a bit of a tomboy and enjoys nothing more than romping around like a tiny puppy snowplow. She is head over heels in love with the white stuff!

I hate to tell her, but we are expecting rising temps in the next few days, so her dreams of a white Christmas will be dashed lol. Oh, but her other dreams might still come true, of a family to welcome her with open arms and maybe some kids looking for a puppy that would fit in their laps or snugged up beside them on the couch while they work on homework. 

(I think it's pretty unfair that little people have to spend even a minute of the Christmas holidays dredging away at the books, but Pearly McGee is a sympathetic soul and she'll be happy to help!

A pinch bigger, yes, with chubby little paws and that round teddy bear face, she'll probably do 16, maybe 18 lb as an adult. Of course, she hasn't read this, so she may slide to a stop just under that, either way, the perfect small dog with a heart just waiting to share every bit of puppy love she can muster!

Cavachon Puppy Blenheim Boy | Tiny Tumbleweed Chaser | Cozy Adventurer | 12 - 14 Pounds

Sometimes the right puppy doesn’t shout—he simply waits for the right heart to recognize him. 💛

Little Joe is the softest, most charming you’ll ever meet — equal parts cuddler and adventurer. One minute, he’s your shadow, the next, he’s off investigating a tumbleweed. Just mischievous enough to keep everyone on their toes, after all, isn't that part of the charm of a new puppy? Don't worry, these Cavachon kiddos won't push you over the brink. Now, if we were talking chocolate labs here, it would be a totally different story, lol.

One of my favorite colors and one that I believe is tied to the softest disposition in the Cavachon. Still full of personality and smarts, but under that little Blenheim noggin resides more of the temperament of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, at least that's true in my experience.

Ah, so now that my opinion is out of the way, ye ask, which should I choose? Well, puppyhood is a short time in the scheme of things, and if your heart is set on one of those chocolatey Sable babies or a Cavapoo redhead, rest assured that you'll get to the same place after the puppy journey is complete. 

The Sables might be a bit more convinced that rules don't apply to them lol I think they can tell they're an unusual color and are quite pleased with themselves as a result. The Cavapoos, on the other hand, are a delight, perhaps a bit busier as puppies, but still perfectly content on the couch even before they grow up. I'm definitely splitting hairs here, and at the end of the day, go with your heart and whichever puppy jumps off the page and says, “I’m Yours!” 😘

Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Girl | Cuddly Creature | REALLY Adorable | 12 Pounds-ish

Oh, this little munchkin! With her big eyes and butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth expression, she is a tiny darling! And, yes, 2 minutes after Mama Terry put away her big Canon camera and plopped little Miss down for playtime, she was hot on the heels of Uncle Billy, determined to rescue her sister’s darling raccoon, sissy needed her help, and she was more than willing to give it! Poor Billy was all in good fun, his feelings were decidedly hurt when HIS mean sisters ganged up on him. Never a dull moment in Puppyville 😆

Peppermint Patty is delicious, all in rosy red & white icing accents, don’t you love that tiny white front paw? She has the cutest way of prancing with it, dancing up and down like a circus pony, yes, she’s precious inside and out. Pick her up, and she turns into a sock monkey, tucking herself up under your chin, perfectly content to be held as long as you desire.

She’s outgoing and social, loves people, other pets, even cats as long as they aren’t too catty lol. She’ll win over the most anti-puppy members of your family, I promise, and your kids will cry with delight if she’s their own special Christmas dream come true. Just not under the Christmas tree on Christmas day, we want that arrival to be well before or after Christmas, too much excitement for little ones to make an appearance in the midst of all the fun.

Cavachon Puppy Sable & White ADORABLE BABY BOY | Did I mention he’s ADORABLE? | 12 - 14 Grown

So I never managed to finish Barnabas's puppy bio before he flew off the page! He was heading to the sunny South, but his new family had an unexpected change in plans, so they are not going to be able to bring him home. For those of you who had reached out, desperate for news about this exceedingly adorable little guy, here's your chance! We pray that every puppy goes to exactly the right home, and sometimes that is a bit of a journey back and forth while I wait to see what doors will open and what doors will close for each particular puppy.

Some puppies are on “HOLD” for a while, only to end up back as “I’m Available!”. Others are marked “Found My Home!” and then, like Barnabas’s family, are unable to bring their already much-loved puppy home. It's incredible how much you can fall in love with a puppy just from his pictures on a website. 

Back and forth and up and down they go, sometimes like a little puppy carousel, but I trust the process, and I know that at the end of the day, each puppy arrives exactly where they are supposed to be. And then, they can begin the job I raised them to do: bring Puppy Joy!

Which is exactly what this small creature is going to do, he's a heartthrob even at this tender age, if you were looking at him before, don't miss him this time around! He's even more ridiculously irresistible in person, I promise! Open-hearted and waggy-tailed, you will be head over heels in love with him, and as a good little puppy ambassador, he'll have you convinced that your life won't be complete until you have a second Foxglove Farm baby. Before you know it, you'll be a collector!

Cavachon Puppy TINY Sable & Snow Girl | So CUTE | Mischief Maker | CUDDLEBUG | 12 Pounds

Oh, this lil character, so ridiculously adorable, and she knows it too! She prances, she pounces on her sister, she gallops full-tilt across the floor (all 4 pounds of her!) with one or another of her current toy victims clenched in those tiny jaws. Small, but mighty, she thinks her new BFF should be the yellow lab next door or perhaps our pony, Fairlight says she. No bigger than a kitten, with the heart of a lion, a fluffy, friendly lion I mean 🦁

I love this little smidgen with her tiny swagger and eminently lovable personality. Pick her up, and she turns into a sock monkey. She tucks her tiny nose under my chin with a sigh. Being a little princess is hard work! She’d sleep in my lap by the hour, cozy as can be, what an entertaining small person she’s going to be.

See the pictures of her removing her BEAUTIFUL RED VELVET RIBBON? She decided that red was NOT her color (she wanted sissy’s beautiful green bow, which she said went better with her eyes). Being the set designer of all things puppy bling, I told her that red absolutely was her color and to trust me, it was perfect. (She didn’t believe me 😆 ).

Don’t miss this little morsel of puppy goodness; she will grow up to knock the socks off everyone at your local pooch parlor. Beautiful, unusual, sweet as pumpkin pie, and just waiting to wrap you right round her lil velett paw!

Cavachon Puppy TOY Tricolor Girl | Too ADORABLE! | She’s the bee’s knees! | Love-bug | 10 - 12 Pounds

Well, here's another of those little bundles that doesn't make it to the website before the Lord shows me exactly where she's supposed to be and orchestrates every step of the journey for even a tiny 3 lb puppy whom He knows is meant to live in Texas with Gail, who needs her.

Gail, you will be reading this later this evening, and I'm so glad you reached out before I had time to post this little munchkin. She was meant to be yours, and I know she will fill your heart with joy just as it fills my heart with gratitude to be able to send her to you.

(Like I told you on the phone, that as cute as her pictures are, she's even a million times more precious in person. As are all of our puppies by the way 😊 And, I promise she does NOT have a flea,,, all those photos of her little hind leg flailing and scratching are of her trying to remove her pretty pink bow lol!)

I’ve said it before, God sends me the most amazing Puppy People, many of whom I've never met in person, but our hearts have connected, and our lives have been touched through these small 4-footed creatures. It has been a privilege being part of your journey, Gail. Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Boy | Wants a spot on the couch | Homebody | About 14 Pounds-ish

Blitzen was looking over my shoulder as I wrote the puppy bios for the other puppy kids, tapping his paw impatiently, trying to point out that he was the bestest puppy kid and I hadn’t filled in all of his pertinent details yet, life is hard when you're a little brown Cavapoo said he.

I patted him on his aforementioned little brown forehead and promised him I would share with the world his long list of good-dog-in-the-making puppy qualifications!

Loving & Loyal ✅

Pretty darn cute (with that dashing bit of a white blaze on his forehead) ✅

Super smart & trainable ✅

Plays well with others (two or four-footed) ✅

I told him that was more than enough and that he also had fancy ✅ ✅ ✅, and he felt better, gave a big sigh, and went to have a lie down and wait for someone to email or call about him.

(It actually wouldn’t surprise me a bit if these little characters were able to connect the dots like that, they truly are the most brilliant of any dog breed I’ve ever worked with. The most personable, devoted (and never nerotic with it) sensible canine creatures you could wish for.

Oh, I cannot stand it,,, these new puppies are so over the top delightful, by now I should be used to it, but the Lord does indeed help me raise some of the most incredible puppies on the planet, I believe it with all my heart,,, and these little creatures!!!

For example, this lil bit of a Cavapoo baby, her personality just oozing off the screen and into your heart, she is SO PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Aside: now I’ve done it, broken my exclamation point key,,,, poor thing can’t take anymore 😂 )

But really, did you ever? That expression, those tiny paws, her shimmery black & white coat,,, her Cavapoo character just jumping off the page and into hearts all over the world! Do you know, when I check the geography of the site, people, literally ALL OVER THE WORLD, are visiting Foxglove Farm? I find it truly incredible, but that’s a tale for another time,,, back to guiding lil scrumptious 🏡 to her forever family. That’s my job, helping navigate these little ones to the homes where they belong, where they will bring so much Puppy Joy that it makes my heart sing.

“Goosie,” as she’s known here at home, will do just that, I promise, while prancing and dancing and charming the socks off everyone she meets: ah, but be prepared to spoil her to bits, folks. She was born to sit alongside her special people as they go on their daily rounds, making complete strangers come up and demand what in the world kind of dog is she and WHERE O’ WHERE CAN I GET ONE JUST LIKE HER? Isn’t she just the sweetest baby on four paws? Another RARE, true Toy-sized Cavachon, loaded with curls and charm and more adorableness than one mite of a puppy should be able to contain,,, I DO SO LOVE HER!

You should see them playing together, they bounce and skitter across the floor like two kittens, (I’m trying to add a video,🤞 it was snowing like mad, and we set up a double playpen so everyone could have a go at the little sliding board. Sadie & Magnolia raced back and forth, taking turns being “it’: and running lickety-split, having more fun than you could imagine, snowstorm outdoors or no!

I loved dressing these mites up. Magnolia wanted to EAT her gorgeous red velveteen bow. Sadie Baxter decided that emerald green was indeed her favorite color, looked demure and proper, and wished she had green booties to go with her beautiful bow!

Playful, yes, and outgoing for such a diminutive one, but absolutely loaded with sweetness and personality, you’ll be so proud of her it’ll be the talk of the family, who’ll insist on puppy sitting privileges, even while fussing that you do spoil her to bits! Oh, but how could you not? She’s a dream of a puppy and will make all your puppy dreams come true!

Baby Buckaroo is just waiting for his own little cowboy to ride the range with; he’s an adaptable small soul and will fit in happily, be it in a Pennsylvania backyard or a sunny condo in Florida (which will sound especially good come January!). ☀️ 🏖️ 🌊 He’s sporty and outgoing but winds down quickly into couch mode so if you’re hoping for a more laid-back sort of dog, you’ve landed on just the right breed.

With the Cavachon’s innate good sense and people-loving personality, he’s an easy fit for just about any humble abode. He’s silly and playful by turns, then so sleepy he can’t lift a paw until he recharges his puppy batteries with a nice long nap. Nicely middle of the road in energy, no non-stop energizer bunnies here, yes, he’ll figure out the lay of the land in record time and win the hearts of the entire family before you can say Puppy Chow!

A thoughtful little guy, he’ll welcome kindly kids with open paws and lots of puppy kisses. Already have a lonely canine who needs a buddy? Buckaroo doesn’t have an ounce of Alpha in his little body and says to tell everyone he’ll happily play second fiddle to your current canine or feline, for that matter. Indigo Pearl is our seaside treasure, wrapped in soft sky-blue swirls and purest white accents. She’s soft, sparkly, and always ready for a nap on your lap after a morning of curiosity, playful and entertaining, but born with a snuggler’s soul 💙

I’m besotted with this color, my newest favorite, of course! I’m amazed at the lovely shades of this wonderful BLUE that appear in each of my merle babies.

Indigo couldn’t be a smidge more delightful if she tried, that swirly coat, those CRYSTAL BLUE EYES, a furry bundle of puppy bliss who thinks the world is indeed her oyster and prances those sparkling white boots as if she has to show everyone how rare and irresistible a puppy can be!

Yes, her coloring alone is enough to stop hearts mid-scroll, but it’s her sweet, soulful nature that really steals the show. She leans into your hand with a sigh, all soft ears (those tiny curls!) and happy tail wags, she adores everyone she meets and the feeling is I assure you, mutual!

Sporty and fun as well as beautiful, she adores gentle games of tug, pouncing after her favorite plush crab, and waddling off with a victory prize in her tiny jaws.

All of our puppies are being raised with love and a focus on the basics, Her temperament is wonderfully balanced: joyful and affectionate without being over-the-top, with a built-in love of all creatures great and small.
